I have a “good” cut diamond but I don’t have a picture to send right now. I know that “good” cut stones get a lot of flack around here but I don’t know why. My stone is very sparkly and I love it. Maybe if I put it right next to a better cut stone and compared then I would see a difference but I never feel that my stone is lackluster. Color was very important to me as I wanted a colorless stone so cut got sacrificed a bit. Just for your info my stone is 0.7, F, SI1 and good cut. Hope this helps.

mochibunni:  the appraiser rated mine “good”. I was my grandmothers so I’m not surprised the cut wasn’t excellent. I love my ring, but if we had purchased one, it would have been an excellent. U

mochibunni:  My center stone is rated either “very good” or “good”. I honestly can’t remember which one at the moment (although I thought I would never forget all those stats — ha, ha!). When I picked this stone, I fell in love with it pretty much at first glance. It turns out that I’m a bit color sensitive, so I loved the color of it. And I kept coming back to it again and again. I consistently picked it out of the stones my jeweler was showing me.

It was only after I had totally fallen for it that my jeweler told me all the stats on the stone, including the cut grade.

I love this stone. Absolutely, absolutely love it. It has amazing sparkle, and I think it is quite beautiful. I think seeing it in person helped make going with a “lower” cut grade much easier for me. If I had ordered off the internet, I wouldn’t have been as confident with this choice.
