My Mother-In-Law is the best in the world! She (and my Father-In-Law and SIL) welcomed me into their family even though I was almost 19 and pregnant and embarrassed about the whole situation. She has always shown me total kindness and love. She has never judged me nor put me down. She has always been supportive and helpful not only to me, but to our kids, too.
I count my blessings every day for having her in our lives. I’m glad that she’s close by and we get to see each other often. I love knowing that I can turn to her for advice or help. She’s the best!!!

I have an awesome Mother-In-Law, and Father-In-Law too! They take my dog for walks or to the dog park almost daily so she’ll be exercised, they let us come over and feed us whenever we want (they live a mile away) and they helped us a ton with the wedding and helping us choose our home. We’re all going on a big REI adventure trip to Switzerland together this August, along with my Brother-In-Law. I can’t wait!

This sounds so crazy but we aren’t super close because I don’t know how to act around her. She is so….. Normal. I grew up in a family with a bunch of loud mouth off the wall people.
We are starting to have a good relationship now. A few weeks ago they came over to our apartment for dinner, Fiance and his Dad went for a drive because FI’s car was making a weird sound. Future Mother-In-Law and I sat at home and talked, I showed her pictures from weddings and we had a really great conversation. I really enjoy seeing them now.

I thankfully get along really well with all my in-laws’s and both my Mother-In-Law and SMIL I like very much. While we aren’t best friends so to speak, I think we respect each other and enjoy each others company. We also all have 1 big thing in common, we all love my DH so much and want him to be as happy as possible, so that absolutely unifies us. I actually feel lucky that not only do my MIL’s like me, they love DH as fiercely as I do.
I’m not as domestic (yet) as either of my MIL’s, but I think they enjoy helping me out with those things. My DH is a very involved and helpful husband who shares at least 1/2 if not more of the household work, so you could say we have a very ‘modern’ relationship (hence my WB name) while my MIL’s have slightly more traditional marriages.

I have a great MIL! And even better, she, Father-In-Law and my mother get along fantastically… they live in the same town and hang out on the boat all summer long. Great fun to go visit and get to see them all at once 🙂

I love his parents! Sometimes I like them even more than my own.
