I do not have a Japanese Spitz, but I used to have a Samoyed, and from the pictures, they look to have a similiar coat type. So be prepared for LOTS of shedding a couple times of year when they blow coat.
Not sure where you are from, but from what I can tell, these are not a breed recognized by the AKC at this time, which means it could be difficult to find a reputable breeder if you are in the US. The US “breed club” website also leaves a lot to be desired. They do appear to be slightly more available in the UK, so if you live there, it may be easier to find a good breeder or rescue, (though because they are a rarer breed, it may be hard to find any available in rescue).
http://www.japanesespitzrescue.com/index.php?FAQ This was an FAQ I found that answered many of your questions. There is also a link to a book at the bottom of the page that may be helpful as well.
The above two websites are breed clubs. Both have a little bit of information on the breed as well.

@Miss Apricot: thanks heaps for your advice!
they look like the samoyed but i dont think they are related. id love a samoyed but they moult like CRAZY ay and they are a bit bigger than the spitz. we’ve done lots of research with websites and books etc but just thought if someone actually had one that could help that would be better.
they dont seem to be a very popular breed. im from new zealand and i know there is a few breeders up north, i hope they are good!
many thanks 🙂
