My fiancé and I purchased my ring from mossianteco.com! I am in loveeeee with my ring! We had previously purchased from Moissanite.com, but it was too big and they don’t offer quarter sizes for rings! (I needed a 5.75). The moissanite is white and I don’t ever see a “yellow” tint to it like I have heard from some other Bees seeing with their moissanite. Plus, the price for moissanite is much more reasonable than a diamond!

My ring is FB, 1 carat in the center and the surrounding stones are FB too!

emelling :  Lovely! Which setting is that?

OP, moissaniteco.com is popular for moissanite, as is Etsy. I’d take a look at a few places and narrow down what you want as far as a setting is concerned, and decide which type of stone you’d like, then go from there. Do you want a stone which is very white, or do you like a little warmth? What cut are you leaning towards?

I have a three stone FB moissy from MoissaniteCo and I’m very happy with it. Before my Fiance purchased it I had the same dilemma, FB or F1? I ended up deciding the F1 was too “cool” toned for me and chose the warmer FB. I see color sometimes, but never in a bad way. It’s usually super white. I love it!

This is the most color I’ve seen in mine and the picture doesn’t do it justice. It was super sparkly and throwing colors. There was sunlight, but I was under trees and was wearing a bright green shirt. I honestly love the colors. Good luck bee!

I haven’t had a chance to get any good pictures yet, I just got mine Wednesday :). It’s a 6.5mm “super premium” moissanite (with diamond halo and accents) from Brilliant earth.  We had the ring custom made but they have an amazing selection of ready to set rings.  I was so nervous to buy the stone without seeing it because I was terrified of it being moody but in every light it’s as clear/white as they come!

I have a 6.5mm/1ct Forever Brilliant moissy (with small moissy sidestones) set in palladium and matching wedding band from MoissaniteCo.com (style wed633-FB or eng278-FB for just the e-ring). My Fiance had a good experience ordering my wedding set from there. Sometimes the sides of my moissy look a little yellow, but usually it all looks very white and sparkly. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them it’s not diamonds. I love my ring and have no regrets with getting a FB, instead of F1 or a diamond.

I have two moissanite rings. One from moissaniteco (three stone) and it’s forever classic and one that I wear now (solitaire ), forever brilliant. The one I wear now is from a local jewler. I picked a setting and he supplied the moissanite. I highly recommend moissanite co aND fb or f1 moissanite.

Another MoissaniteCo ring here…  I have an unenhanced 1.4ct cushion centre with diamond side stones. if you get a pave band I’d suggest getting diamon so that a local jewler can repair them if that ever has to happen. Not many local jewelers ( at least not where I am) have tiny moissanite stones.

Mine is from MoissaniteCo and I am absolutely obsessed with it! I have a Forever One 1.25 carat center stone. I have never seen any color unless its sparkling then it’s really beautiful to watch! I have absolutely zero regrets! I love the Forever One and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

All moissanite stones come from the same company, and you’ll get a warranty card from them (Charles and Colvard). So don’t even bother worrying about whether one particular store sources better/worse quality of stones. ๐Ÿ™‚ They all come from the same place, the same standard, and any company that gets a Forever Classic should also be able to get one of the higher “tier” (treated) stones from C+C. ๐Ÿ™‚

That leaves you free (since you don’t have to worry about thr 4Cs of diamonds) to really focus in on the style of the ring itself, whether the store is reputible/trustworthy or not, the metal to choose, and price.

Our engagement ring came from JulianStudio and we were exceptionally pleased with the quality of the ring and the service we got. I’ll be going back there for the band (the fiance is likely to go elsewhere since he wants tungsten or titanium and she doesn’t use those metals).

I have a forever classic and after days and days I am finally able to, sometimes, notice the yellow. It’s a pretty big stone, too, a 8x10mm Oval (3ct-ish equiv). I seriously cannot imagine anyone who isn’t literally staring at the stone for ages OR a gemologist noticing this yellow. It’s that faint. It *may* be more noticable on dark African American skin, because maybe it’s not noticeable on me because I’m pretty yellow myself and the brain is just interpreting it as seeing my skin through the stone. But even that’s a stretch. I am not dissapointed in the slightest that I went with Forever Classic.

Heads up: Moissanites are not measured in carats. (https://www.moissaniteco.com/guide_carat.html) So when you go to purchase, be sure you’re told how many mm the stone is. A round stone you’ll be told one mm for the diameter, and the ovals and marquise, you should get two measurements (like mine is 8x10mm). Not sure about other fancy stones. But don’t be afraid to talk to the jeweler about wanting a stone that looks to be about X size carats. They’ll know what you mean — this looks exactly like a 3ct oval cut to be 8x10mm. But you do not have a “3ct” moissanite. That doesn’t exist. Carats only measure diamonds. This really confused me for a while. ๐Ÿ™‚

thefuturemrsbrady1 :  do you mind sharing a pic/experience with Lauren B?! I’m considering using them for a cushion halo setting and would love to hear some personal experiences!

I had an overall good experience with them. No complaints. I went to the store twice and emailed them several times before making my final decision. I ended up choosing a three sided diamond band in platinum with a diamond wrap around the basket. It came to about $4700 before tax. I did not purchase my center stone from them, we had already purchased that from moissaniteco.com.  I will attach some pics but they don’t do it justice. It looks so much better in person. We had previously purchased a very similar setting from Adiamor to try to cut costs but ended up returning it because the Lauren B setting blew it away in every aspect. Overall, I would highly recommend them. If you live near NYC it’s definitely worth the trip, they are just a few minutes walk from Grand Central.

Also if you want to see different cuts and kinds of moissanite in person, there is a place on 47th Street called A&C Gem Trading Co that has a huge inventory of moissanite

thefuturemrsbrady1 :  that is so gorg! I just love all the settings they put out! Their instagram is a daily addiction for me lol I’m pretty particular with pave and I just love their seamless pave work.

On a side note are you comfortable wearing your ring around nyc? I’ve always wondered how women in the city felt with larger stone rings lol my fmil flips hers under her finger on the subway, but would love to hear how you feel about it?
