My e-ring is not like this but i do have small sapphires across both sides of my band – they hold up perfectly! just as good as my diamond.

Be still my heart! I love that style of e-ring but haven’t seen it here yet. Wait, someone has a white sapphire center with the blue sapphire halo. I hope she (and others) post their pics!

The one I originally wanted was a Brilliant Earth that had sapphires as a sort of side halo (?) As in they didn’t face up but to the side but were still visible. I still adore that ring. You might look there. Sapphires are very hard and in a setting like that should be fine.

neubee:  I’ve seen a lot of those on antique sites, and they look to be in pretty good condition! They’re from like the 20-30s.

I have a round sapphire ring that’s from 1890-1920… It’s my engagement ring…

Most rings you’ll see that are sapphire target rings will be antique.(but obviously you can get it custom made) A lot of them are in great condition, especially for how long they have been around for but you have to make the sapphires are set well because there are some with gaps in between. I only say this from experience as I had to return one due to its condition. I really love this style ring and I bet they hold up well due to the hardness of diamonds and sapphires

I have a blue sapphire with a diamond center. I love it! I’ve had it for about a year. One sapphire did fall out and the one next to it was damaged. Not quite sure what happened, maybe I banged it or something, but it happened right after I sent it to get fixed, so they weren’t sure if it was me or it wasn’t put back properly, so thwy fixed it without a problem. Sapphires are a nine on the hardness scale and diamonds are ten, so they ate still very durable. 🙂

Mine is considered a target halo it’s just not round. The sapphires look sizeable in pictures but irl they are very small
