I am really skeptical about them. are they really CZ’s? I have come across them on ebay too. ask the selller for more details if possible and see what they say. post back here when they reply?

I don’t have an Agape, but I’ve looked into LOTS of simulates. Basically any man made diamond that isn’t a moissanite (or actual diamond) is going to be a CZ in one form or another. That being said not all CZs are created equal. Some are really stunning, and will stand the test of time. The worst that can happen is you might need to replace the center at some point(maybe 10+ yrs), but for the cost compared to other stones that is completely economical.

If you are having your ring made I would ask the jeweler to order a couple of stones for you to compare, or you could do that yourself and return within the time allowed. I have two moissante rings as well as several nicer CZ rings (I’m a bit of a collector). Really seeing a stone in person will give you the best idea of what will look best in your ring. If it takes your breath away go for it!

I just posted int he Diamond Lab Direct thread about these (mixed them up). I believe these are regular, well cut, hand cut and hand polished cz’s similar to the Signity cz. The Signity cz’s are very nice cz’s but, they are not expensive, so with Agape, you are paying top dollar for the setting. If I were paying that much, I would choose the ASHA or Signity Elite cz which has the diamond coating for a simialr price as the Agape.

I am all for sims if that is what the wearer wants 🙂  I have a real diamond solitaire but I also have a sim in a halo that I wear becasue sometimes I want a different look. I couldnt possibly afford TWO diamonds, so this was a perfect alternative. My simulated halo ring is white sapphire and signity cz (not diamond coated)

My fiance told me he was buying me a 2ct daimond so I asked him to buy me the lab-created diamond from Agape because – I dont believe in blood diamonds and I wanted to be able to spend more on the honeymoon and wedding.  He got me a 3.12 ct diamond engagement which has a 2ct centre stone and 2 1/2 ct stones on the sides.  I love love love my ring and so does everyone who sees it.  No one knows it is lab created including the jeweler that I took it to to have sized.  It is perfect and stunning and people are in awe of it when they see it.  If the diamonds had been mined the ring would have cost around $80K and who knows how many people would die or wars would be funded.  I could not be happier!

I think simulants are wonderful! I prefer moissy because of durability (I’m so clumsy! Always banging my ring into things) So if you’re rougher on you jewels, and going the CZ route, I would purchase a couple, loose “back up” stones, for when they do show wear! It could be suddenly damaged and some times ordering, and setting a new stone will leave you with out a ring for quite some time.

veronicanjadyn:  They are CZ’s! They have really sketchy marketing practices. If you ask them what it is they will twist themselves into a pretzel trying to tell you that they are chemically and optically identical to diamonds and that their process is proprietary! These are not lab diamonds! If you are looking for a good sim go to betterthandiamond or moissaniteco or ashadiamonds- they are honest about the product that they are giving you!
