I’m starting to realize that I prefer warmer colored diamonds. The setting I’m in love with has H color, round side stones. I’m looking at a princess center stone, but I know they show more color than round brilliants.
I’d love to see some of the warmer color diamonds, particularly in princess or radiant cuts. Would anyone care to share photos of their gorgeous H-I-J stones?

I have a Ring Bearer diamond but it’s somewhere between H and I color(pappers say I but the apprasial said H). Here a few photo in different lights. Occassionally I see a bit of warm in cetrain lights but not yellow.

Check out this thread on pricescope. There’s links to color specific threads (I, J, K etc) and there are also various colors in the reads about specific cuts (emerald & asscher etc).

I have an I color princess cut center stone. It looks differently depending on the light. Most of the time it looks white, but in some light you can see some warmth. It doesn’t look “yellow” but it looks warm. The diamonds on the band are H-I-J in color.

My J diamond pendant:
Picture of my J-color centerstone for my ering upgrade (I don’t have the ring yet..):
The heart has fluoro (medium blue, so it looks whiter), the round does not. 🙂

Gorgeous rings, ladies! Thanks so much! I’m getting more and more confident about choosing a center stone. It’s hard to get away from the idea that colorless is more desireable, but I really prefer the warmer look. I’m more confident reading about GIA stones vs “mall diamonds” too. My mom and I browsed at Jared to get a general idea of setting/center stone preference and what they called and H looked like a pale canary diamond against white gold.
@crjk2013: You’ve given me so much more confidence in I color princess stones. It’s certainly not yellow. I’m thinking this might be disappointed if I go much more colorless than that.

I actually prefer warmer toned diamonds. Mine is a J, but normally always looks colourless (unless something yellow is right next to it!)

@BakeosaurusRex: I love, love, love your rose gold wedding band! Do you have pics with it on your finger? I want one so bad and my mom and Fiance think it will look stupid

I have an I color. I always told Fiance I loved the warmer colors, and when he first gave me the ring, I was so surprised at how color sensitive I really was, but now I hardly ever even notice it and I don’t mind at all. I actually love it. I only see color when I look at it from the side.

J-K diamond. Its a diamond, but it is a moody stone 🙂 Sometimes it looks grey and almost smokey….sometimes shows a bit of yellow but not much and in some light it looks very white and very sparkly.
