A couple weeks ago I stared taking a garlic supplement and reading that my bad circulation and low BBT could hinder TTC. We are just starting TTC, and this will be my first cycle trying. This cycle my temps have been really wonky, and I have had a higher BBT than my previous cycle. This may be due to a chaotic week, but for 4 of the 6 last days I have taken my BBT, they have been pretty consistant, and about .5 degrees F higher than they have been before O. I haven’t been doing anything different; I ususally temp between 5 and 6 am, and before I get out of bed or move around. For referance, here is my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4aea00.
So, does anyone have experience using garlic or other methods of increasing your circulation and raising your BBT? If so, how long did it take to get a higher BBT? Or can someone shed some light on BBT’s that are all over.

There are a lot of things that can affect your BBT. There are a lot of open circles on your chart. You say you temp between 5 and 6? Do you take your temp at the exact same time each day, or is it just generally between 5 and 6? Inconsistencies with temp time can cause your temps to be wonky. If you’ve had a crazy week and have been stressed/not sleeping as well, that can definitely have an affect on your temps as well.
As far as your temperatures being low, I don’t necessarily see a problem with them. You do temp pretty early, so they will be lower the earlier you take them. Sleeping with your mouth open could also lower them, as could changes in your environment (weather, covers, etc.). I’d just keep doing what you’re doing and see if you still get a noticeable shift. If you think you’re having erratic temperatures, you could always try temping vaginally next cycle and compare charts then. Good luck!
