    Almost all dresses are coming from china nowadays. Do you have a link to the seller that you could post? Some I know and would use others I wouldn’t.

    I am sooo tempted to buy on ebay too….I am just sooo unsure!!! I am on a budget and it seems like a dream come true, but I don’t want to end up with garbage!

    Most dresses are coming from china nowadays. I think you can consider buying from ebay or some wedding dress websites, like lightinthebox or http://www.boncyboutique.com/bridal-dresses?prg=1. There is a large selection for your buget.

    Just be really careful and do your research. There a lot of brides that have purchased from chinese/ebay and have been really happy. But there are also a lot of horror stories out there.

    Keep in mind that while most dresses do come from china there is a lot of quality control implemented by the designers. The chinese makers selling on E-bay or the internet are using the designer pictures but have never seen the gown in person or the construction of the dress. They are not the actual factories making the designer’s gowns.

    Just make sure to read all the reviews, see if they will send you pictures of their actual work compared to the designer’s image so you can get a feel how close to the original the replica will be.

    There are still a lot of first quality gowns being sold for less than $200.00. They are not as easy to find as the  $2,000 gowns but they are still around. Good luck! let us know what you decide!

    @mrshawkins:

    That’s what I do for a I do for a living I work in the bridal gown industry. I didn’t post any of my gowns or anything of the sort, I know that is not allowed. But here are some good finds for under $200.00.

    David’s bridal has some on their clearance section that are very pretty and less than $200

    There’s some on E-bay that are from the states and have authentic gowns starting at $100

    I have not heard of that seller. Definitely do your research. Look into reviews. Make sure there are reviews from wedding dresses. Some people are new at wedding dresses and you are their guinea pig. Jeff liu has gotten mixed reviews. He does nice work but some peoples dresses have been late. If you have lots of time that may be an option.

    I’m going to just copy and paste a post I wrote a few days ago about my experience with an ebay dress…it was NOT good!!! So be very careful and do your research! And I was way too trusting and understanding, and lost all of my money. Don’t let that happen to you!

    My replica experience was horrible to say the least. I ordered off Ebay, and, long store short, I never received the dress and never got my money back. So, if you are going the replica route make SURE you do your research!!! A lot of bees on here have shared their experience. Jeff Liu and another one, I think dressilyme (?) are popular sites. From what I’ve seen on here, you get the best results with simple gowns. If the dress is intricate and has a lot of lace, you should probably lower your expectations of it being super similar. Also, pay with Paypal(!!!) and know that you only have 45 days to file a claim! I was too trusting understanding and didn’t realize the claim date. Well, I ended up being 2 days late of the claim period, and got screwed!

    I don’t know if you already got your dress but, I ordered mine from ebay seller NobleDress and am very happy. I absolutely LOVE my dress!! Prior to purchase, I went to a professional seamstress to have my measurements taken. This info was required in order to receive a custom made dress. I did have to wait a month and half for my dress but, it fits me like a glove!! One very important thing I must say is, it is not EXACTLY as shown in the picture. I would say about 98% close but, exactly what I was looking for. Best of all, it was only $147, including shipping!! I was really quite worried about it – and having to wait over a month didn’t help but, I am very pleased with the final result!!
