I’ve had them. It is THE WORST. you said after several rounds, this side effect just now happened? It may be that your trigger points have “migrated”. Mine were closer to the vulva, but mine had a tendency to move, but be less tense.

Hi ladies, just wondering if I could ask a few questions? I was recently just “diagnosed” with pelvic floor myalgia/dysfunction, I think mostly because they couldnt find anything else after repeated pelvic exams and ultrasounds… But my symptoms are just that I have cramps every day. It is terrible and it makes me feel exhausted all of the time… I actually start PT tomorrow morning for it, I am a little nervous — what does this entail? and did your initial symptoms Include a lot of cramping?? I am so sorry to hijack your thread, I will just do anyhing to figure this out and i can find very little information regarding this subject.

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, it sounds like you have been through a lot!! happy to hear the PT is working for you, though — and thanks so much for the information, it makes me a little less apprehensive to have some idea of what they will do.

i do hope it is a quick fix — unfortunately,it looks like I will probably be cramping all through my wedding and honeymoon but it is good to know that it is definitely possible that PT could help me!

I only went through 3 months (would’ve been longer, but moved).

For me, once the dry needling was done, the pt exercises were what made the difference. I was able to redirect my tensions to other body parts to better balance the stress. I improved my hip flexors, low back & glutes. I still have tightness & pain during sex sometimes. I strongly think I just need more dry needling to the area to break up the points to start healing vorrectly. I too was given a dialator but at the time I was a virgin and couldn’t even get a tampon in! Let alone a penis sized wand! Now I pay attention a lot more and try to relax my guarding reflex.

@musket87 I’m in Mass and I think it might be time to see a doctor as my normal routine isn’t cutting it. Do you mind sharing who you see? I also have IC and I know I have PFD and have been trying to handle it on my own but it’s getting to the point where I think I need to see someone.
