Slick :  My pic is the the one lilredcat posted and I don’t mind at all. I love the smaller version of this eternity band with my engagement ring, but definitely curious if the larger version that you had in these pics(1.1ct) is truly substantial enough to wear on it’s own. This really is my favorite style band, as I also have the antique milgrain one too. Just wondering though, thanks! 😊 My username was dnicole614, but has been changed.

Kingbee2012 :  hi! I don’t own this band any longer but I would say it was substantial enough to be a stand alone. It was very pretty! I should’ve kept it! Lol

Slick :  Thanks so much for your reply. With the smaller version, the little bezels are smaller than the marquis shapes and I would rather it be more the same if that makes sense. I notice with the larger version. all the rounds are 2.5mm and it should be more the same all the way around. Do you remember how wide the band is? I thought I read somewhere that it was like 3.8-4mm wide?

Kingbee2012 :  You’re welcome! It definitely was not 4mm but probably 2.8-3mm tops I would say. The stones are all rounds so that changes the way the “marquise” shapes look just so you know. It was a nice substantial piece so if dainty is what you like this won’t fit the bill. Good luck.

DonutGirl33 :  I know this is a late reply, but just wanted to see how things are going with your new band? I kept mine but I sold my F1 ring and replaced it with a new set (OEC moissy). PS – as for selling your FB and your hubby’s items – I’d skip those “we buy gold” places. They pay you by weight which means many pieces may not add up to much. Diamond Bistro is a better bet.

Slick :  Oh, well that’s strange cuz the smaller version is that size. Hmm, I may just have to order it to see.

Slick :  Not sure I understand what you meant by the rounds changing the way the marquis shapes look? If you look at the pic lilredcat posted of my set in this thread above your post, you can see the smaller version of this band. Is it just a bigger version? I’m just trying to find out as much as I can before ordering it. I would say mine is dainty but looking for a more substantial size to stand alone if that makes sense?

Kingbee2012 :  I was merely pointing out that the marquise shaped bezels are set with two rounds, not a marquise shaped stone. I’m sure you noticed, I just wasn’t over fond of the rounds/prongs. It’s a very pretty ring though!

ETA it def wasn’t 4mm. I have that sized band it was thinner.

Slick :  Ok, understand completely.  I myself would prefer all bezels set, including bezel marquis but the prongs don’t bother me aesthetically. I just always worry about these little stones falling out. One last question ,  is the width of the band pretty much the same all the way around? Like with the smaller version, the beveled round stones are only 1.5mm and the two in the marquis shape are 1.8mm, making it scalloped more. I prefer it to be more balanced between the round and marquis and hoping that the fact that all the rounds being 2.5mm will make a difference .

Kingbee2012 :  It was the same width all the way around to my eye. I too would have preferred bezel set as well as the prongs were a bit pronounced in the marquise shape but, overall It was lovely really. Quite the firecracker!
