My dress is a watter’s dress so I look at their website all the time. The Austin dress is very new to the website. I think it is part of the Spring 2011 collection so you may not find anyone who has real life pics of the dress yet!

I understand, I think watter’s dresses are gorgeous as well! My dress is the Harmony style.

I agree that you may want to wait until you are engaged to try on dresses. I guess it depends on your situation though. Personally, my Fiance would have been freaked out if I had been trying on dresses before the proposal 🙂

I recently got engaged and actually saw this dress online and became obssessed with it. I emailed all the stores where I live and finally found it.

I must’ve tried on at least 50 dresses and didn’t find anything I like.

When I tried on the “austin” dress, I knew it was  “the one”.

I instantly fell in love with it and ordered it.

It’s scheduled to come in June. I will try to take a picture of it.

This is dress is to die for!

With tax, it was round at 2k.

The skirts are fuller than how it looks on the picture.  However since I’ve always wanted a big full wedding dress, I went ahead and ordered the full size crenaline(?) to make it fuller. Kiss hope that helps!

I’m in love with Watters’ new collection! I can’t wait to start seeing pics of real brides in the dresses. Austin is amazing, but my fav is the Lasara. I actually got the “this is my dress” feeling from this one … four months after our wedding, haha!

four months after your wedding? haha

Yea apparently, the new collections are hard to find at the stores…  I didn’t realize it was new and found it odd that I couldn’t find one dress shop that carries it from where I live.. ended up drivine 1 1/2 half to go see try on the dress!

I just ordered the Watters Austin dress a few weeks ago and can hardly wait until it comes in! I saw this dress in a magazine and it was love at first sight. I called every bridal shop in Vancouver until I found it. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. The skirt is definitely much fuller than it appears in photos and the chapel train is gorgeous. This dress is amazing!

Watters Austin girl here! My sister and I spotted this gorgeous gown the second we walked in. I put in on (btw, it was everything I thought I DIDN”T want) and fell in love. The picture doesn’t do any justice to the unbelievable fabric…all silk chiffon. It’s timeless, elegant, and has the “wow” factor. I can’t wait until it comes in May! Plus, for all you ladies with a little junk in the trunk, it’s the perfect gown. Makes us curvy girls look tiny.

You ladies with the Austin Dress can you please tell me what your wedding is going to be like?  Indoors/ out?  formal/not formal? etc

My wedding will be a formal, catholic church ceremony. The flower detail on this dress gives it a very summery, “outdoorsy” feel. My plan is to have photos in the garden with the flowered belt before the ceremony then for the church ceremony I will be replacing the flowered belt with a Monique Lhullier crystal sash and adding a crystal-studded fingertip veil to make my look more formal. I may switch back to the flowered belt later for the reception.

i LOVE this dress, but can’t find it anywhere to try on…i am seriously considering ordering it without trying it on but had a few questions…can someone tell me what the back looks like?…also, in the photo it looks as if the stomach poofs out a bit…is this true or just the fabric blowing forward?…can the volume be reduced a little by removing some crinoline?…thanks in advance!!

This is my dress also (in the ivory color) :)! I got it at the Watters trunk show in December. This was exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t believe it was within my budget!

Here is another picture that I found when I first bought it. It’s not really an empire waist. but it’s definitely more fitted at the top and not around the stomach. I think it has a very classic Grace Kelly sort of look- that’s what I wanted. I’m getting married in a Catholic church, pretty formal ceremony. I wish the train was a little longer- it’s the only thing I didn’t like about the dress, but I’m probably going to get a Cathedral veil. I don’t know if it would be possible to remove any of the volume from the skirt, but honestly, if you tried to do that I think you would ruin the style of the dress. It’s intended to be more of a ball gown shape than an a-line.
