I tend to have typical symptoms when I got UTIs. I’m pregnant (same timing you are). I’m worried that I might have one because my urine seems stronger than usual despite the massive amount of liquids I consume and pee. UTI’s are pretty common during pregnancy. It might have been missed because of the million of hormonal things going on in your body right now. I have to wait a week from now to be sure that I actually have one. I saw the heartbeat yesterday, so I have some reassurance that the baby’s okay. I hate that I have to wait another week, but at least my baby’s safe in my biological bunker with a heartbeat.

Sometimes my body overreacts to things (fevers from periods or the common cold, throat closing from mono) but I also have less symptoms at times (I had UTIs I didn’t know about until I was peeing blood and strep throat I could barely feel).  I am always unpredictable with medications as well!  I keep the UTI test strips at home and pee on one every once and awhile to check.

oh god, I had the worst symptoms with my one and only UTI…burning, and even blood in my pee. (TMI, oops). I was working at a cleaning agency and I was scrubbing a floor when it started. I laid there and prayed to die, HAHA!

I would say my non-standards come from when I had strep. I wouldn’t always have the throat irritations, but my tests would be positive. I had strep so much as a kid that I would wake up in the morning and be like “Moommm! It’s here!” hahaha.

@abbyful: You’re not a freak of nature.  I get UTIs really easily and like you, I had recurrent UTIs as a child where they had to do lots of testing.  Sometimes I feel them and other times I don’t.
