I am trying to find a job to make some money to pay off this wedding and it has to be part time so I can get my son to and from school still. I keep coming across those online jobs and I was wondering is any of them are real or a scam or just a lot of work before you make anything at all. Anyone whose had one or knows someone who had one is there anything you can tell me? I am so lost.

You can sometimes make money online, but for the most part, they’re just scams and/or don’t get you anywhere fast. I did know a guy in college who used Google Ads on his blog and made money per hit on his blog. I don’t know how it all worked, he didn’t make a lot, but he did make money. It was like $20 a week, though, so nothing huge. However, he didn’t really do anything, just set them up and that was it.
Most legit online jobs require prior experience (medical billing, tutoring, etc) and are pretty hard to get, in all reality. If you enjoy writing, you can check out Ask.com. I’ve applied to write various columns. It’s never gotten me anywhere, but maybe you’ll be lucky. ๐
That’s about all the experience I’ve had with online jobs, and I’ve looked too. Most are scams, so I generally stay away, unless it’s a very, very reputable company.

@piglet_625: Thanks. I actually did sign up to work for chacha but it seems like it goes nowhere fast so I haven’t even done the training. =(
I’m not very good with people so jobs have always been hard for me… since I’ve been out of work for a year now going back is going to be a bumpy road. I don’t have skills in anything either I don’t even know where to look for a job.

@HappilyEverAfter54: Have you looked into going to CTC or something for medical billing and coding? I hear that’s a really great online job, but you do have to go to school and put in some time to make it work. Maybe that might be an option? I bet there’s online schools that offer it.

@HappilyEverAfter54: Cha Cha isnt actualy that bad yes you only start off at 1 cent a question but if you fill out your intrests and your profile you can move up I have been doing it a few months and I am now up to 20 cents a question I answer 50+ questions a hour and thats 10+ a hour so yes you start of slow not making much but if you stick with it you will get somewhere ๐

@MsPanda: What kind of questions do people ask?
@piglet_625: I could do that… after the wedding but we were trying to make extra money for the wedding right now and school +job +wedding planning would be stressful right now =(

@MsPanda: Wow really? I used to be a guide for a short time like… wow, almost 3 years ago I think, not long after ChaCha started? It was fun, but wasn’t really making me any money, so I stopped. But I like the sound of the new system! I’m definitely going to get back into that again! Did you have to do anything special to earn a spot as a specific Dating/Relationship guide? (sounds like the perfect specialist spot — those crush questions… lol!)

i work part time for a friend who is a realtor. i photograph houses, make brochures, update her website and listings… it has its moments, but for the most part it is easy money. ask around and see if you or your family know any realtors.
