So, I’m “only” 31, and I had DS @ 30. All of my bloodwork showed really low risk, I believe lower than the average for my age by a LOT. Does that mean the same is basically true for waiting (because it is mostly genetics) or does it still drastically go up with age? I only had the basic screening done through the perinatal office, since nothing else flagged a concern.
In my heart I can’t rule out having another kid but don’t feel like I’m anywhere near ready and won’t be for awhile if ever…I do feel called to foster and/or adopt. I recently remembered that my risk factors were all low, so I’m hoping that buys me a little more time.
