Does anyone know what this centerpiece place mat thing is?

Hmm hard to say🤔 My first thought was it was metal? But after a moment I realized it could maybe even be a cutout of paper or plastic…like a placemat. Maybe there is somewhere that can laser cut or something?

saradiana32 :  Based on your picture those are on sale for $9.99 until Dec. 27.  I don’t know if that makes a difference for you or not.

You are paying $10-15 for a piece of cut out rubbery plastic.  I have that place mat.  I bought one for a side table.  You could make similar for yourself.  Just buy gold metallic  (or whatever color) art paper and cut out like you would cut out paper snow flakes when you were a kid.

Try an amazon search for gold paper doily or whatever color, you’ll probably get lots of tacky looking things, but sift through and you should be able to find something similar.

saradiana32 :  these are the target ones I got (they’re not flower-like at all): https://www.target.com/p/gold-placemat-room-essentials-153/-/A-52319643?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Dining+Shopping_Brand&adgroup=SC_Dining&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9060239&gclid=CjwKCAiAoqXQBRA8EiwAIIOWsuJ4rPQ36klx2kRmm1XyTN_lMRC2OobTw7TnkDK1YEWwnCu9FeF0sxoCzogQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

and the Walmart ones seem like a fine quality to me; my only quibble was that the edges are not also golden (they’re a darker color). It’s the kind of thing I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who would have noticed or cared, but I might have gone over it with a gold marker just in case (if I decided to not be lazy)

I actually think the Target ones feel a little cheaper (as far as the quality of the golden stringy thing), but I liked the look better.

I bet you could have these made out of paper in a cricut machine or something similar if you had a friend that wouldnt mind running them through for you! You could even post an ad on your local facebook community pages and offer to pay somebody to do them if you provide the scrapbook paper!
