I would really like to make ribbon wands for people to wave when we are pronounced husband and wife because our venue does not allow you to throw things. I am afraid they will be too expensive if I don’t find a good place to buy ribbon in bulk. Does anyone have any idea where I can get that?
Also if you have other ideas of celebration that doesn’t involve throwing anything that would be helpful too!

Thanks, I do have a dollar tree, but for some reason haven’t been able to find much there in terms of crafts. I always hear how great it is, but can never find anything that I need! Oh well. I will deifinitely check out papermart.com. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried http://www.mayarts.com ? They sell wholesale ribbon, it’s cheaper than the Paper Source or Michael’s in my area.

I’m a fan of http://www.giftsintl.com – cheapest grosgrain ribbon I’ve found anywhere.

May Arts looks cool, but you need to register for an account, and provide a tax ID/SS number and everything. Is it only for industry professionals, then? Or could I register with any business?

Whenever your looking for cheap ribbon always check price per yard instead of per roll. Ive lost a lot of money on spools with nearly nothing on them in the past. Check craft stores I bought all my ribbon by the metre but it was buy 1 get 4 free which made it cheaper than any bulk ribbon I could find online.

My wedding colors include coral and it was impossible to find. Believe it or not I found the cheapest on etsy.com. I got 100 yards for about $10.
EDIT: I just looked at my Etsy account and I spent $15…$12 +$3shipping…for 100yards of 5/8th inch coral satin ribbon.

I swear by http://www.rycotrim.com/ for all ribbon. I bought literally hundreds of yards of grograin and satin in various widths and colors for invitations and decoration for my edding. They are a “factory” but they don’t make all the ribbon on site. However, the woman who owns the place is very knowledgable and will ship anything anywhere. Just call them, tell them what you are looking for and I’m sure they will have a good quote. I think spools come by 100 yards and I paid $16 for one satin one. I also bought 50 yds. of 1/8 grograin for $5 for invites as some examples. They also have great deals on tulle.
ETA: I forgot to mention, the website sucks, these are quilting ladies, you need to call them.
