We got the ILs a Wine Making starter kit for two Christmases ago and they have so far made two batches and really liked it! Especially my father in law has really taken to it.
So they’ve since gone to their local store twice to pick up some extras.
His birthday is coming up and among some other gifts we’ll like to throw in some wine making extras that he might not necessarily buy for himself because it might be too expensive.
So for those that make your own wine? What are some cool things you see that you want to buy at your local wine making store? Or what is one item you have for making wine that you just love?

I can’t really answer your question as I’ve never made wine but I think it would be awesome to try. DH and I really enjoy wine (we probably have 60-70 bottles in the apartment now) and I think it would be neat to make our own.
One of my parent’s friends does this and he gave us a bottle as one of our wedding gifts. We’re saving that bottle for our first anniversary.

We make our own wine!
We have people over for dinner quite a bit and we thought it’d be neat to have our ‘own’ wine as a table wine! We started with some of those concentrate kits but have moved away from those to buying better ingredients.

My mom makes her own wine, she gets kits from http://www.hopsanddreams.com and it’s so good!

Yea, me too! We’ve made our own beer for a couple years now and have been meaning to try our own wine as well.
our ILs gave us 2 bottles, one each from their 2 batches. Can’t wait till they are ready to try!
They are still at the concentrate kit point right now. Is there anything in particular that you find extremely helpful while making wine that’s not in a starter kit?
Thanks for the link, I’ll be sure to check them out if I can’t find anything at our local home brew/wine making stores.
