(Closed) Does anyone need wedding insurance?

@DeeCapCov:  you should have some sort of insurance if you are serving alcohol. Most vendors have this and work it into your cost, check with them. If not your homeowners or rentors issurance may have a policy. If you serve alcohol with out and someone drinks and drives you could be to blame due to the stupid way people get around things. Dont let anyone ruin your day and check with the vendors first since this may already be taken care of.

when we were thinking about doing a Destination Wedding, I remember the resort telling me that if I wanted to have a friend marry us, we’d need to get insurance for him. Cant remember all the reasoning but it had something to do with him not being an actual vendor or something. I don’t remember exactly. I think most venues typically take care of their own insurance, but if they don’t, im sure that they’d tell you. If you’re having your wedding at your home, or someone’s private estate (like a friend…not an estate that is used for weddings usually), i imagine insurance would be required.

I asked our venue about it but they are fully insured. A Friend of mine needed it though and I remember she was able to do something with it connected to her homeowners policy which made it cheaper.
