@aliciaspinnet:  I’m pale too, and whenever I have my makeup done professionally, they turn me orange. I don’t know if they just can’t conceive of someone wanting to be pale, or they just don’t make pro makeup in the right shades.

You’re not alone! I don’t wear makeup either! I feel like I look weird with it on and whenever I wear it my husband always comments that he prefers my face without it. Since I don’t wear makeup I feel like my skin is a lot smoother and clearer. Yay for looking young!

@MrsPanda99:  I’m with you!! I do not like make-up.  I will throw some natural cheek color on sometimes if I feel like I’m looking a little blah- it really perks my face up.  No mascara, eyeshadow- hell no to liquid foundation.  I do own powder foundation that is very light weight I wil occasionally use.  And I do have a clear “finishing power”, but it’s literally only used for the sunscreen in it- which I use in addition to my sunscreen moisturizer.

I am a lip gloss junkie- NOT to be confused with lipstick, which I hate.  No color- or if there is any, just a faint tint which basiclly appears clear.

I will admit I am a skincare fanatic though.  While I hate makeup- I do love skincare.  High end, result producing skincare.  Not laser treatment or anything like that, just cleaners, masks, and moisturizers.  I think healthy skin looks a million times better than caked-on make-up.  And with SO much make-up, your skin can’t really breath!!

Nope. Actually it’s a part of my faith not to. I do, however, wear some clear things. Mascara on my lashes andbrows (more almost as hair spray for those hairs lol), clear gloss over chopstick, and clear nail polish. But anything  more, I’ve never had on.

I think everyone looks better with a little makeup. I don’t wear much on a daily basis (mascara, CC cream, a little concealer), but I feel more “finished” I suppose. I don’t NEED makeup, but I feel better wearing a bit. I like to put a bit of effort into my appearance. I don’t always put it on to leave the house, but I normally do. It’s like wearing perfume or a nice outfit – it gives me that little extra boost of confidence.

@patchy:  +1 !

I don’t touch make-up except for stage performances (dance recitals and such in school)

I wore some for my future sister-in-laws wedding…and I hated wearing it. I also don’t think it improved my appearance at all, and Fiance didn’t think so either! (Exact words would be, “You are beautiful,, but you are more beautiful without that stuff”)

So I’m going make-up less for our wedding next Saturday too… depending on my mood, I might do some lip gloss for shine…but probably not more likely: just good old original Burt’s Bee chapstick

All of this said, however, I enjoy taking care of my skin, and so I love facials,  mani/pedis (relaxing! Nail polish isn’t even a requirement, but I enjoy it once in a while), etc. I want to bring out the beauty my skin has naturally, not create it with paint

I don’t usually wear makeup. I will put on lipstick, blush, mascara, and eye makeup maybe 2 times a month, when I want to look really good. I’m terrible at putting on foundation and powder, so I never wear it. I just turned 30, and I grew up spending all of my time on the water, and now I live in CO and spend a lot of time in the high-altitude sun. I always wear sunscreen, but I’m starting to get sun damage. My skin is still good otherwise, but I used to constantly get comments about how perfect my skin was, and getting sun damage is bugging me. As a result, I’m pretty into skin care products. I’m a grad student, so I buy products that I can use at home, but when I get a job, I will likely get facials every 6 weeks or so. It’s just really hard to keep your skin looking good in a dry climate.

@MrsPanda99:  I wear lip balm and moisturize and that’s about it. That way on my wedding day I will look so different and fantastic.

I reserve make-up for special occassions, such as weddings! Day to day or going to work, no. I never really “learned” how to do my make-up, and I like being able to roll out of bed and go if need be with just splashing some water on my face. The few times I’ve tried to do eye make-up, I end up forgetting I have it on and rub my eyes. Oopsies!

I still suffer from acne, not near as bad as it used to be, but I don’t want to gunk up my face even more. I do wear powder from time to time to help with oily areas and my cheeks are always red-looking, but other than that just Chapstick.

@MrsPanda99:  me. I’ll do very basic makeup if we’re going out to dinner or something special but day to day, no. To work? No. I’m hopeless at it and lazy besides 😛

I’m a makeup junkie. I am only bare faced if I’m going to the gym. My eyebrows are mostly gone due to a medical condition. I look very ill without makeup.

Occasionally when we go out, I use concealer and mascara, but that’s about it for me. I don’t have sensitive skin or anything, I’m just lazy, lol. I’m pretty fortunate to have a mostly clear complexion, too. I get married in six days and I’m now praying this post doesn’t jinx me, haha.
