emma111111:  I know that my DH doesn’t regret the amount of money that he spent.  However, hindsite, I wish that we spent less on our wedding day.  Don’t get me wrong, it was a beautiful memorable day.  But the cost was to the roof, we paid everything with cash (no debt).  It would be nice if we had just invested that my into a saving account.  Anywho, back to the subject; I know he has no regrets nor do I.

I don’t regret how much we spent on my ring but then again, my ring is pretty inexpensive and very much my taste as I wanted a plain band with a single diamond. I love my ering more and more each day, there are days when I want a bigger ring but I also know that’s not me. Go for what you love honestly and be happy that you’re about to get engaged to someone you love dearly! 🙂

If it is going to be your forever ring get exactly what you want and can afford. If you plan to upgrade later on I wouldn’t worry so much right now. My ring is what I’ll have forever. It may get a new setting eventually but the diamond will be the same. I’m glad DH wanted to splurge and got me such a nice dimond (.63 is small on the Bee, but large in my social circles) when I would have preferred a .3 ct but I know for certain I’ll never want a larger one and this saved us money in the long run since diamond prices have climbed.
