My awesome photog mentioned that she’d love to to a Trash The Dress/Rock The Dress session with me because it would be fun and a nice addition to her portfolio. I don’t have a problem with it, I’d just need to find the time. But then I realized… does anyone even do this anyone? A few years ago it was “THE” popular thing to do, but it seems to have fallen out of fashion completely.
I should mention that I’m more in the RTD camp, where I’d accessorize my gown with non-traditional things like my fave leather jacket, boots, sunglasses, a colorful scarf, etc. in an unusual setting. I’m not up for jumping in the water (brrrr) or otherwise ruining the gown completely.
So… did anyone do this? DOES anyone still do this?

Nobody? Yowza, I guess it’s even less popular than I thought!

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
Mr. LK and I did a photo shoot a few weeks after the wedding, and my besties and I plan to do a trash the dress session together when the ocean gets warmer. All 3 of us got married in 2011, so we thought it would be fun to do a shoot with us in our wedding gowns at the beach. We’ve agreed to use my photographer, and it should be a hoot.

I’ve seen “day after” photos, which are really neat- couple tours around the city, photos in front of various landmarks, etc.- very relaxed, very in love- she’s in her dress but not as made up, he’s in his tux, but no jacket/loose tie, etc.
My dress is way too pretty (and expensive) to trash- going to try to sell it afterwards

@lovekiss: That sounds like so much fun! And talk about a great memory with your friends. I hope you come back to post a few pictures when/if you do it!
