beebay :  Ohh that is scary words. I would be so sad if I ended up with say and Asscher or Marquise cut. Gah why am I so picky? You seem so easy going haha. But I completely agree. I just want to marry him. I could care less if it was at a courthouse or in front of 100 people.

I like the classic round solitaire look. I did pick out a cathedral solitaire with a diamond basket in platinum. I wouldn’t hate a pear either though. Love the pears! I used to love halos, but the more research I did, I had the fear of diamonds falling out. Made me nervous. I really do overthink everything haha.

My husband asked me to marry him Dec 24 2014. It was unexpected for sure. But it made for some seriously beautiful pictures.

I think I might be! My bf is planning to buy the ring through a sale that ends on January 1st, BUT my dad was here for the weekend visiting and he didn’t have an opportunity to talk to him alone and ask his permission so if he plans on doing that in person and not on the phone, he won’t be able to ask him until Christmas…fingers crossed it happens before the end of the year, but we shall see!!

beebay :  that’s good! Yeah I kinda wish my SO didn’t have to in a way because it is a logistical hassle with my dad living 6 hours away, BUT me and my dad are besties so it’s a bit necessary hehe. And we have been together just over a year (August  2015) how about you guys? ๐Ÿ™‚

Sounds like it might happen for you!!

My boyfriend thinks that proposing on gift giving holidays is too cliche, but I’ve told him at this point he could just shove a ring at me any old day and I’d be happy!  (Been waiting awhile, ha.)  I do think a holiday propose could be super cute though – holidays are about family and happy times, which is what a proposal is suggesting, right??

My So gave me a timeline of December 6th to January 2nd but I know the ring design isn’t even finished yet, nevermind the ring itself so I know the proposal probably won’t be until a little later in December. I told SO that he better not propose to me on Christmas because I want our proposal to have it’s own special day and not piggy back off of another special day. Plus, I told him that the day he proposes to me is a day for just the two of us to enjoy and spend together and that I would love to share the news with all of our family but that it can wait until the day after the proposal. If he ended up asking me on Christmas, I feel like there wouldn’t be any time for the two of us to just sit back and enjoy it because we’d be rushing around all day between both of our families houses visiting.

beebay :  Nothing like some pressure to make it more exciting!

We’ve been together three years and I’ve been waiting about a year.  When he asks what I want for Christmas, I always say a ring!
