I am trying to lose around 20lbs and tone up, so I have been using kettlebells. They are amazing and I get a great workout, however, its really high intensity. I am thinking I probably should be doing them every day, but maybe just every other day.
I guess my question is… Should I go running on the days I dont do kettlebells, or just rest? Does running even really do that much?

I’ve heard of them before because the Darling Husband used to use them and he did say it was a good workout. I’ll ask him when I get home. I always ask him about fitness related questions.

my husband does with his trainer and he loves them – my hubby currently lifts about 380lbs, runs or swims every day

@HoneyBear: I would alternate – Maybe run 3 days, and kettlebell 3 days, and have an off day.
Cardio is vital if you are trying to lose weight – kettlebells are excellent for toning!

Thanks! Sometimes its hard to find motivation to do workouts that aren’t as intense because I almost feel like I am wasting time. I guess I just need someone to tell me that running on my days off from kettlebells will benefit my weight loss lol

The best part about Kettlebells is depending on the type of workouts you do, you can get ardio and weightlifting done in 45 minutes… My trainer is an RKC certified KB instructor and all we do is KB and I have had some AMAZING results. I saw amazing results after just three months.
Check out http://www.dragondoor.com/dv040.html for a fantastic video. Also, do not listen to Jillian Michaels – I love the Biggest Loser to watch, but her form and the way she teaches KB is insanely wrong. I can’t believe no one has gotten hurt yet.
Good luck!
