I tried it out once when Fiance dragged me to a video game store randomly. It is FUN and I was so worn out after playing for like 15 minutes.

@SweetRose2011: OMG you read my mind. I came on to post this identical question!

I just finished dancing with the Kinect and I love it! I looked like a fool for awhile but now i’m doing every song on hard and I think I look less goofy doing it than I did before, haha! I spend all day sitting in front of a computer so I definitely try to dance every night, at least 45 minutes. It definitely gets my heartrate up. I know there is a calorie counter but I don’t always put it on, I’m not sure how accurate it is. I’m interested in the other dance game just because I’m getting a little bored with the dances. I’ve noticed that its more arm movements and you aren’t moving your legs as much. I’d like to find something with more leg movement.

We also just got the fitness evolved game for the Kinect. There is a tutorial on it and a workout test to see where you are at. Then you pick your goals and there are different workouts you can use, plus games. I did the beginning fitness test and was hurting the next morning! I just started using it so I don’t know too much about the game. I’m not using it in place of cardio workouts, its more of something fun and it almost gives the feeling of having a personal trainer since it tells you what you are doing wrong.

Maybe we can get a kinect workout club going on here?

@SweetRose2011: Yes you do use weights with the Fitness game too! it’s nice so you can switch it up when you want more weight.

Right now I just have dance central but I think I saw another one when I was at the store. I don’t want to buy many games if I’m not going to use them, i’m just waiting to hear what other people think of them.

I just giggled when i got on here cuz I finished dancing moments before!

We have this–it was a joint Christmas present for each other this year!! And I love it =) If you get XBox Live, you can download demos for the other games before you buy them…I did the Biggest Loser game the other night (just the demo) and Jillian kicked my butt!! I also have a membership to the gym, but am very UN-motivated to go right now, because it’s cold outside and I hate going out in the cold, and also because our gym is still PACKED to the brim with New Years Resolution goers…so I have no problem dancing like a fool in my basement for the time being =)

I have it and love it. You can even keep up with burned calories. I workout for 15 minutes and am ready to stop., but I force 30 mins.

I played at a friend’s house once and it was super fun. I think we just had whatever game comes with the Kinect, but I was doing the soccer goalie game and was all over the place. It’s fun so I don’t even feel like I’m working out!

I just got Your Shape Fitness Evolved and OMG it kicks your ASS!!  I could barely go down the stairs the next morning, lol!  It’s the most fluid, realistic game I’ve ever seen.  You actually see yourself up there on tv with a trainer.  If I stretch my fingers out, my tv self does the same, just as elegantly.  It’s amazing!  And honestly, I’m feeling the burn.  The thing is, you can’t get a decent score and unlock stuff unless you do the exercises correctly.  This is a huge thing for me!  A lunge isn’t just the half assed lunges I usually do to DVDs.  They say ‘go deeper, squat further’ and stuff and you have to do it or you get ‘disconnected’ from the trainer!  It’s made a huge difference in how my muscles are working.  You should get it, it’s really awesome!
