Aw I wish I saw this earlier. My bf can’t afford a stone for the e ring and this would have been super cute as a surprise gift for him. I’m not picky on stones, as long as it sparkles and shines I am happy. This was so nice of you to do.

puppymum :  have a look at moissanite kart on eBay. I just got a 2ct one for $14 from there. It’s not here yet but it might be an idea for your stone? My OH has just ordered a 4ct stone for HIMSELF!!! Lol

puppymum :  Check out EBay. They have a bunch of cheap moissanite or you could get a gemstone or CZ. 🙂

puppymum :  you can buy loose moissanite online on EBay, Etsy, and other sellers like MoissaniteCo. Your quality is really going to vary. The real Charles and Colvard stones that MoCo sells are a few hundred $$$, but you have their warrantee of quality. The ones on EBay are cheaper and quality is not guaranteed.

You can also pick up other gorgeous stones fairly cheap. Morganite (pale pink – absolutely beautiful paired with rose gold) can be purchased for around $60 a carat (of course, quality may vary with cost).  I got a Killiecrankie diamond from Australia for less than $200 for a 3 ct oval. It’s actually a clear topaz- that many substitute for a diamond. It’s Maid/Matron of Honor hardness is 8 – so not as hard as a ‘real’ diamond, but another idea for a gemstone in place of a diamond.

Omg! So sorry to hear about your roof but glad to hear you are safe and sound! I was so worried that something had happened with the mail :/

Stone is here and lovely. I also wanted to see moissanite in person before committing to an expensive ring and this helped a lot! Thank you so much for sending it.
