I just started watching it with Fiance and we watched the first 2 seasons in less than 2 weeks! its strangely addictive, being about a serial killer and all….why is that i feel compassion for him and have even cried a couple of times watching this show?? anyone else got hooked on Dexter? (or am i now going to be perceived as CRAZY on here?!)

Hi, my name is Tracie, and I am a dexter addict! Sadly, I haven’t been able to watch the latest season because I no longer have showtime 🙁 The season finales are always good!

hhaha no I feel the same way, we’re up to date and it’s getting a little old, but I still love Dexter. Most of the people he kills deserve it so I don’t feel bad! 😛 I do feel crazy though when he’s on the verge of getting caught or something and I’m yelling at the TV “no dexter! don’t be an idiot get out of there!” or some other randomness 😀

@arenyth: i get what you mean by its getting old. i am only on season 3 and i can start to predict what is going to happen….kind of how 24 got by the end. but i was always hooked no matter what!

Don’t get too deterred by season 3 being a bit eh, because season 4 is amazing. Not to give anything away, they have a seemingly random guest star for the 4th season wh does an amazing job.
We’ve watched 1 1/2 episodes of season 5 mostly because it’s online and we get impatient waiting for it to load. Started off sort of slow, but apparently it gets better. 🙂
But, yes it is a totally awesome show, and it is strange the compassion you feel. It’s funny because my friend who recommended it is a social worker (as am I, and so is her brother who watches it with her). So we”ve had in depth conversations about what this means about us as people, and long hours of analyzing the characters.
Just for the record (and not to cause too much controversy I hope), I find his sister on the show to be so annoying. But otherwise it’s great 🙂

I watch Dexter and am an addict!! I am all caught up and the season finale is tonight! I cant wait…but at the same time…there is a lot of “rinse and repeat” on this show if you know what I mean.

@judithsr: haha thats funny because I think his sister is so akward that she is funny. At first I hated her but now I love her! And if anyone doesnt know Dexter and his sister are married in real life.

I looooooooooove Dexter. I’m a potter, and so the spare bedroom in my apartment is my studio. Clay doesn’t go very well with carpet or nicely painted walls, so I’ve covered the entire room in plastic… I call it my kill room.

I have heard so much about Dexter, all my girlfriends watch it. I haven’t watched a single episode tho, I don’t even know what it’s about. It’s kind of like how I refused to watch Grey’s Anatomy and then my bestfriend made me watch it, and now I’m hooked. Might have to download some Dexter!

Me and the Darling Husband have been told by a number of people that we should watch it. We just just started it. We are on season 1 episode 2. It’s great the netflix has it on its instant queue, we never have to wait!
I don’t love it yet, but I’m intrigued, so I’ll keep watching.
