We love that show! We got rid of our cable last year so we can’t watch it. Unless it’s on Netflix…I haven’t checked!

We went to Florida in February and watched a lot of Southland while there. I miss it though, it was so good!

My husband and I love this show.  He’s in law enforcement and he says its pretty realistic for the most part.  It’s obviously dramatized but not altogether over done

You’ve peaked my curiosity about last night’s episode but he would be bummed if I were to watch it off the DVR without him.  I’ll be super sad if it gets canceled after the season ends.

I am sooo happy that someone else watches this show!! My husband and I started watching when it was on network TV and were beyond bummed when it got cancelled and then thrilled when TNT picked it up.  I don’t even know where to start with this week’s episode!! Holy crap!! I was so uncomfortable and anxious the entire time!  I wish they would do full seasons of the show because they’re already at the finale…ugh!! I really don’t even know what to say about the episode….it was soo intense!  I just kept thinking they can’t kill Cooper…they can’t kill Cooper…and then when they killed his partner I was like oh no they might kill Cooper…they might kill Cooper…my husband and I just sat with our jaw dropped half of the time….can’t wait to see next week’s episode!

Wow – I had no idea it was based on a true story! I also don’t think that I remembered that Sammy named his son after his partner Nate until you just mentioned his killing.  That one was really intense too, just not nearly as graphic for the entire episode like yesterday’s was!  Cooper has been great!  They have really developed his character quite a bit too from when he used to just be the angry guy bossing around Sherman to now delving into his personal life and why he is the way he is….They better renew it again!!

@KateByDesign:  We just watched this episode.  It was so intense. I found it a bit hard to watch honestly (especially given what my husband does for a living).  it reminded me a lot of the movie End of Watch, which was also fantastic, but too realistic for my liking.  My husband said they took some liberties with the druggies but for the most part, it was pretty on par with the story it was based off of.  They actually alluded to it in the episode which I thought was an interesting touch. The part with Sammy and the guy at the construction site didn’t bother me. The scenes with Cooper and his partner were just gut wrenching though.  Not sure how I feel about Ben and Sammy situation, except that I’m really disliking Ben more and more as each episode goes by. Just can’t believe next week is potentially the end of the series.
