I have my own wedding ring set on my left hand but wear my mom’s diamond (set in a new ring) on my right hand, with a pretty diamond art deco band next to it (also for sentimental reasons, and b/c it looks nice). 🙂 My dad died 8 years ago and I just like wearing the ring for sentimental reasons (I also wear my dad’s picture in a locket). Just wondering if any one else wears a right hand diamond e-ring/wedding set also.

Yep. I didn’t get my rings as a set and I like the way look apart better.

I’m considering this because the engagement ring I really like has a bump in it- so you’d need a special curved wedding band that I don’t like. After considering the cost of a custom ring- it makes sense to just have the “balance” of one ring on each hand.
Ladies- I’d love to see some pictures!

Just had my mom’s diamond reset and it’s at the jewelers but when I get it, I’ll post a pic! It’s a small diamond but means a lot to me. 🙂
Yes, I would love to see pics! I can look at rings all day! 🙂

I wear my wedding band on my left hand and my engagement ring on my right hand. I had my wedding band custom made and it’s thicker and has really pretty detailing. I small very small fingers, so it would look too chunky to wear both rings on one hand. Plus, I like to spread the bling around!

Yes! I wear my Grandma’s wedding ring on my right hand. It’s very meaningful to me. I like to look down and think of her every day when I see it.

Yes! Fiance and I didn’t get an engagement ring, but I will have one ring from each of my deceased grandmothers. One was her wedding band which I will wear as my wedding band on my left hand, and one is a more art-deco, somewhat-engagement-style ring that I’ll wear on my right hand. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

I wear my grandmother’s engagement ring (which was also my mother’s engagement ring) on my right hand. My parents are divorced and my mother gave me the ring for my 21st birthday. I have since worn it on my right hand. It’s 18k white gold and my e-ring is 18k yellow gold..

For many years I wore my grandmother’s e-ring on my right hand (though the center stone is a Sapphire, it is less obviously an e-ring) and wore her wedding band on my left pinky. I love the idea. I recently had my mother’s e-ring sized to fit my right hand, but the jeweler told me it is too delicate to wear daily (it was worn by my mother and my grandmother for a total of about 70 years and has worn down all over) and I plan on wearing it on my right hand for special occasions.
However, I don’t have anything on my left hand yet 😉

I have my own ering on my left hand and my grandmothers ering on my right hand. Grandma’s is about 80 years old and it was her first ering from my grandfather. She had her original wedding band and grandpa’s original wedding band melted down and made into gold stud earrings for each of us grandgirls.

I love these rings! So pretty!

I wear a combo of 4 rings. I wear my e-ring on my right hand, a sterling Tiffany ring on my left (a V-day gift from hubs), and my wedding ring –which was my ma’s- stacked on that, and on top, her e-ring. Most days b/c of my work, I just wear her band.

@aberry: Your ring looks so much like mine! Mine is also round cut in a square box. I have just the e-ring as my grandmother was buried with her wedding band.
Fiance wants to get me “his own ring” so when that happens, I will switch my grandmother’s to my right hand. I do not want to take the diamond out and have it re-set in a different ring because then I’d no long her have her ring. I hope to give this ring to my son or daughter someday.

My sister wears her wedding and engagement rings on her right hand because she doesn’t like wearing things on her left side.

I wear my grandmother’s wedding band on my right hand. My mom gave it to me when I went away to college, and somehow I didn’t lose it at school! I wore it on my left ring finger, until I got engaged. Now it’s on my right ring finger. 🙂
