Its pretty much a standard policy for their dresses. If shedayz didn’t get one then, maybe you should double check with your customer service representative about it. I talked with Karen, Paris, and Tina throughout my process and they assured me of a pic. Then I later requested a few more so that I could see closer details and they sent them the next day. I was pleased with my dress and confirmed it for shipping. If you have any concerns after the pic they are really good at taking care of those problems.

What dress are you considering?

@shedayz:

Maybe make sure you discuss the picture option with the representative. I got several and later received more because I wanted a closer look at details. I am glad I did because there was a slght misunderstanding and they were able to fix it before being shipped.

They are pretty good at customer service so I hope you can get photos next time.

@blayne7:

Now that is gorgeous! Oh I can’t wait to see your results!

I had a lace dress as well so I think I can vouch for the quality. It looked even better in person. I really loved my dress. I hope you are as happy with yours.

I didnt get pics with any of the three dresses I ordered.. HOWEVER I am in love with them and would totally recommend the company. I even asked for pics but they said this is their busy time of year and could not send them ๐Ÿ™ I was sad but it all worked out ๐Ÿ™‚

@Mrs.Candi:

Humm I guess time of the year matters. I had no idea.

I would assume for others that may be reading if you try to negotiate the arrival date so that you can have pictures then maybe they will be able to help you.

For example, I wanted my dress rush ordered at the time and received pics (maybe due to the time of the year). However, if your dress is at a later date and you can give them a little more time say about 2 months instead of 1 month such as myself, maybe they will be able to arrange a picture.

I would make it clear that I must have a picture at the end of the day because I would like to confirm that all the details are correct. If you don’t confirm or aren’t happy they should still be able to fix it.

Now I would order from them again if I were to have another big moment! I mean in a minute! I am probably comfortable enough now that I woldn’t need a confirmation pic but I am sure that any brides out there that are still nervous or unsure would want to feel certain all is well with their order.

So I suggest anyone atempting to order during a busy year to keep speaking with your associate and kindly ask if there is a way to still order and maybe allow for time for a confrimation pic.

Another reason why I say this is because my first custom dress didn’t come from dressilyme, and it was a disaster. I didn’t receive a confirmation pic and the man wouldn’t allow me to send it back to China and the shipping would have been $70 for me! This comapny was horrific!

Luckily dressilyme was the complete opposite from my experience. So anyways ladies try to negotiate that pic for what its worth.

Surely all will be fine but we all have our preferences and they can be handled with a simple yes or no to the pic. ^_^

Good luck future brides!

@blayne7:

Thats good and I don’t anticipate problems either. I just remember how it feels to order a dress and not see the confirmation pic. It just may really be a busy time of year for them. I hope all goes well! Please post!

I’m so worried because I am to trying to order from Dressilyme.com and they are giving me the run around. I asked if they could replicate a dress i tried on. They told me they could but the price was double the price of other dresses on their site. I found out I was also obligated to purchase the dress regardless of how it came out. They told me there are absolutely no refunds on a custom design. So I thought I change me dress to a dress that is already on their website. It was similar to my dress. They showed a picture of how the dress they made came out. Plus the dress was half the price of the custom order. Before I purchased I asked if they could send me a picture of the dress before they made it. They told me they could not send pictures. I am so confused now because every article I read brides are showing pictures of the dresses before it was shipped to them. They won’t do that for me and will not make any adjustments to the dress. I am now convinced that all the positive reviews about this company are written by the employees. Yes, even the comments that include a little con about the company. I feel they just do that to make the post seem more realistic. Does anybody have any suggestions of any other replica companies I can try? I am now so nervous.

P.S. I will call out all the comments I believe to be fake.

I’m giving you my experience about some photos from DressilyMe:

-We have not enough time and manpower to take pictures for the gowns during this special busy time. I sincerely hope you can understand.

-I need the photos to see that everything is made according to my description, and if any last minute adjustments need to be made. It takes just a moment to take a photo in comparison with a month that will take to make the dress itself. I am happy to pay extra for this service if I have to, just let me know how much it will cost to take a photo and email it to me. I have chosen your factory because there were many excellent reviews about the way you work and the information that you can provide the photo of the dress when it is made. It is very important for me to see the dress on the photo. Hope you understand.

-In fact, I know your worry about your dress. I am sorry that we do not offer such service to take photos for the gowns for your reference after the gown is ready at present.Because it is our busy season now, we have not enough manpower and time to take photos for the gowns.There have a lot dresses which are waiting to be finished during this special time.I sincerely hope you can understand.However, I will inform our dresmakers to make your dress carefully so that it will close to the pictures shown??Please take it ease.

-You already spend more time repeating again a story about busy season and lack of manpower than it would take to make some photos and send them to me. Again, if you want me to pay more then tell me how much would it cost. I Need to see them as later I’ll have no time for fixing.

-Here kindly let you know we do not charge the fees to taking pictures for the gowns at present.The only problem is the time.If you insist on asking us to take pictures for your dress, we can do that ,The processing of tailoring about your dress is about 40 to 45 days before shipment.If the date of delivery is OK for you, please you can write down your requirement in the Order Special Instruction .Becuase our dressmaker need enough time to guarantee the quality and handwork for other dresses.

And finally the tailoring took just two weeks ๐Ÿ™‚ I was happy. So, give them more time ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am being told the same thing about the pictures, but I e-mailed them again to try to push it, so I’l see how it turns out.

@MrsOwenThomas:  I am sure their website isn’t a good representation of genuine comments about their dresses. They almost certainly delete the bad ones and maybe they do write some of their own, but I’ve read a lot of long, in-depth reviews on the Bee and also Project Wedding about DressilyMe, both good and bad, and I don’t think all of these could be fake. It’s good to be cautious, however. I am personally just going to see what they say about the photos. It would be nice to get it arranged before the sale runs out. If they say no, I might just order it anyway and of course write a genuine review.

In case this helps anyone looking at this thread in future, I finally got DressilyMe to agree to sending me photos by using the same tenacity and wording as @IrinkaELF. In case it’s helpful, here is my exchange below…

Their response to the first time I asked for photos:

I am sorry that we do not offer such service to take photos for the gowns for your
reference after the gown is ready at present.Because it is our busy season now, we have
not enough manpower and time to take photos for the finished gowns.There have a lot dresses which are waiting to be finished during this special time.Our dressmakers would like to take times to guarantee the quality and handwork for the gowns than taking pictures for the finished dresses.I sincerely hope you can understand in this special time.

However, I will inform our dresmakers to make your dress carefully so that it will close to  the pictures shown .Please take it ease.
My response:

I understand that this is a very busy time for your company and that if everybody asked for pictures then it would delay the work of all your seamstresses. However, in order to go ahead with this purchase, it is very important for me to see a picture of the dress just before it is mailed to me. This way we are both able to confirm that all details are correct and avoid any potential misunderstandings. The reason I chose DressilyMe is because other happy brides have been able to confirm details of their dress with pictures so that everything went smoothly.

I do understand you are busy, and if pictures make the dressmaking process even longer, I am happy to wait. I am happy to wait even two or three months in order to get a picture.

I hope you understand and please let me know.

Their response:

In fact, I can understand your worry.However, almost all the gowns on our website
had been made by our dressmakers before.Practice makes perfect. Our dressmakers
do not think it is necessary for them to take pictures for every finihsed dress for our
customers ‘s reference.Our dressmakers would rather to take times to guarantee the

handwork and quality for the gowns than taking pictures for the finished dresses.

In fact, taking pictures for the finished gowns will take us some times to do that.

Because we have to handle the dress very carefully before we put it on the model
before when are going to take pictures for them.

If it is not our busy season, we are very willing to take pictures for the finished

dress for your reference before shipment no matter it is the style on our website

or offered by you. We always do our best to serve our every friends and customers.
But, we have to consider our manpower , time and current situation.So, I sincerely
hope you can understand during this special period.

My response:

I do understand, but I am sorry to say that I cannot order unless you kindly agree to send just one set of pictures when the dress is ready. I don’t think it would take too long to take a simple photograph and send it, especially when the dress itself takes a month to make. If this is extra time and work for your dressmakers, I am happy to pay more for this extra service. Please simply tell me how much you want me to pay for it.

If you can agree to just one set of pictures when the dress is finished, I am ready to place my order straight way.

Many thanks for your understanding.
Their response:
I have consulted with our dressmakers about our schedule ,if you insit on asking us to take pictures for the finished dress for your reference before shipment,we can do that for you.But, the tailoring time for your wedding dress will change to 40 to 45 days before shipment.Please  you can write down your requirement in the Order Special Instruction while placing
 the order so that our dressmaker can follow it. For example, please take pictures for the finished dress before shipment because I accept the tailoring time  40 to 45 days before shipment which was discussed with Paris.

ETA: Sorry for the weird paste job
