@laurabora:  I don’t think the guests notice half of what we expect them too. If you love them, then go for it! I don’t think it has to match, and honestly I think your favors are a cute idea.

@laurabora:  They really don’t lol. We had candles in these long vases down the aisle and we had them wrapped in organza with these beautiful crystal broches holding them together and I am pretty sure no one noticed. But in the end I got my beautiful day so I always say go with what will make you happy 🙂

I think that is an amazing favor idea as it is something that can actually be used, and it will even do some good for the environment! I’ve only been to a few weddings in my life, but I tend to find that most favors are useless and like they were a last second idea that someone just plopped on the tables because it matched the colors of the wedding. I don’t think anyone is going to notice that this doesn’t necessarily match your wedding, but I think they make sense because summer=birds.

Cute idea.

I would have these go home with them in a box or little bag as those tend to fall apart or crumble.  Guests won’t want stray birdseed in their bags for months following the wedding

I think since you aren’t really having a theme, it’ll fit in nicely.

I do think SOMETIMES the favors should match the theme.. I mean it would be weird for a really ritzy ballroom wedding to give out mini chalkboards.

I love the idea of bird seed feeders. If you wanted to make it look more tied together with your wedding, I suggest just using ribbons in your wedding colors instead of the rope. Seriously, those are adorable and I would be tempted to ask people to give them to me if they don’t want them, haha!

We’re having an early 40’s inspired wedding with various shades of blue and green for the colors. I’m from New Orleans and my fiance is from England so our favors are taffy from New Orleans’s Roman Candy cart and imported chocolates from England. A best of both worlds type of deal. The taffy sticks are about ten inches long and I just dropped two chocolates into a coblat blue or emerald green organza bag and tied it to the stick. They look cute, homemade, and the bags tie into the color scheme. If the guests don’t like it, more candy for us!
