- Wedding: January 2012
My Future Mother-In-Law very generously offered to pay for the flowers. I’m paying for the rest of the wedding with a bit of help from my dad (he paid for the photographer). I was actually considering using a lot of candles for the centerpieces to save money on flowers. I was thinking about buying some cool candle holders that mimic flowers like this one I found on Amazon. If I go this route, is it completely ridiculous and rude for me to assume that my Future Mother-In-Law will chip in on other stuff like the candles and candle holders? I don’t mean to be greedy at all, I just want to know what I should be expect…I prefer not to ask her upfront (although I’m sure this is the best option) because I don’t want her to misunderstand my intentions. I would like to avoid that situation completely. Should I just change my original plan and go with all flower centerpieces?
