I want my wedding cake to be white on the outside and when we cut into it, I want the inside to be a dramatic hot pink color cake. Does anyone know how to accomplish a hot pink cake? I’ve looked for hot pink food dye but I just haven’t had any luck…

Check Sur La Table for all sorts of cake decorating and colors. They have a really wide array of them, much more than Williams Sonoma.

Maybe try bright red with just a teeny bit of blue?

You could also look in like party stores and acmoore and michaels for icing dies and things, they have HUGE cake baking sections and I think I have seen some unusual coloring things that are not just regular ol food coloring.

I remember Wilton having a paste color that was BRIGHT pink, like a fuschia pink. They sell Wilton at any craft store like Hobby Lobby or JoAnns.

Go to a craft store and look for gel coloring in the baking asile. The liquid stuff from the grocery store won’t work well. Here’s a chart that tells you what to use to get a bunch of different colors. Hot pink is on there near the bottom… http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/coloring/colormixingchart.htm

Wilton gel coloring is FABULOUS! You can even find it at walmart! It’s in the cake decor aisle of the craft section, in those little jars. 🙂

global sugar art online has tons of cake supplies, they might have something. I went to my local baking wholesaler.
