I think the price depends on where it is being made.  Is this a local seamstress?  Or is it from a replicator in China?  A China dress is going to be less expensive, but you run the risk of not getting exactly what you want, because you’re not able to get your hands on the dress during its production.

For those materials and a handmade dress, I think it sounds like you’re getting an excellent deal, actually!

That sounds like a great price, if in fact the dressmaker is using Alencon lace, and all silk for the dress. Just for comparison, I visited a few bridal salons in China to try on dresses and most were in the US$1500 to $2000 mark and made from synthetic materials. Silk would have cost way more.

Wow…I was expecting $2,000+ with those materials. So…yeah this is a fabulous deal. Almost too good to be true (unless you are going with a really simple silhouette). Make sure you read all of the reviews to make sure the workmanship of the finished product is up to par (and that you’re getting your full money’s worth). 🙂

My gown is being made out of all Alenon lace (and for the under layer we are using my mom’s dress, which i have no clue what it is made out of). So, for an all lace dress I am spending close to $800. Way cheaper than buying a new dress at $2500!!!!
