This isn’t exactly the same, but it took me forever to figure out that the “Next time on” at the end of each Arrested Development episode was fake. I used to get to the next episode and be there, “Wait, where is all that stuff they were talking about? I’m so confused!” I finally got that the scenes were just a gag. Can’t believe how slow I was in getting that…

My memory is so bad over a season that I don’t always remember exactly what happened, especially after long summer breaks so I don’t always remember!

I’ve never had it happen where they show scenes I haven’t seen but I do sometimes find it funny when shows will pull footage that was actually like 3-4 episodes back.  Boardwalk Empire and Shameless have done that but I think they say “previously on” so they aren’t actually claiming it was the last episode aired…still throws me off and find myself going “Huh?? Wasn’t that three episodes ago?!?!”

LOL, yes! I sit there staring at the screen wondering whether they actually didn’t air that scene or if my memory is just going on me.

What shows do you see this on?  I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this in any of the shows I watch.  Sometimes the previous scenes/clips aren’t all from the most recent episode, but I’ve never not seen one before.

I can’t stand shows where they’re like ‘Coming up…’ and show like 4 or 5 snippets of what’s coming up later in the show. Really? I need to see what’s coming up in like 2 minutes after the commercial break? Just show me in 2 MINUTES.
