My e-ring’s band is quite thinner than my chunky wedding band. & I love the look of it, weather the band has diamond or gems/no diamonds at all. I like the look of e-ring bands being widder than the wedding band also. Looks great in my opinion & most womens are not the same mm.

Mine are different widths too! My wedding band is much thicker then my e-ring but I love them both! Smile

@mrsrowe: That is such a great idea, ordering it a little bigger, my ering band is a touch wider, but it’s thicker, and maybe that’s what I should have done is order a slightly bigger size in my wedding band…  Oh well, we’re hitched now!  Your set is BEAUTIFULKiss

I don’t think they have to be the same size at all:)  I see tons of sets on here that don’t “go together” per the manufacturer/designer or don’t sit flush and I think they look amazing!!!  One of my favorites is when someone has a “normal” engagement ring band – like with no diamonds or just some pave – and then they do one of those really fun and beautiful “celebration” rings for a wedding band.  I love that look! It’s so clever:)  Here’s an example – looks great with so many erings, gives it an “edge” or something.

And here’s my lovelies:)  I wanted my ering to be a little smaller so it would fit under the crown/head of my ering and sit flush…You can see the band is bit smaller/thinner.  But I like that you can still see the diamonds underneath the crown and band…It’s the detail on the top and the bottom that make it look heirloom or something, so I appreciate the different size band:)  I think when you find the right band, it just works, whether it’s supposed to or not!

@Katherine1539:  I love your rings!  Is that a brilliant emerald cut (I think that’s what it’s called)?  I am in medical sales and one of “my” nurses has that cut, it looked like an emerald/cushion hybrid and I think it’s awesome:)

@jholler24: Her diamond looks like a cushion cut… slightly elongated too.

I think its perfectly fine!! And it gives your set a little of your own style. I like the look of not so matchy matchy..
