I have two theoretical (theoretical because Fiance hasn’t asked his Groomsmen yet and I’m in the middle of asking mine) plans:

  • By height (pretty pictures)
  • By who I think would make a good couple (because most of them are single and I like to play matchmaker)

Just don’t do what my step aunt did (pair 13 year old me with a 42 year old man. It was weird.)

We only had three people on each side. My sister in law (brothers wife) is TINY compared to the other two bm’s so we put her on the end because I didn’t want to have a Mindy sandwich. On the other side we ended up linine the two guys based on who they escorted down the aisle. We didn’t have people line up traditionally, they got into their positions after escorting someone they were assigned to escort. Normally you go last person up to the best man and Maid/Matron of Honor when walking down.

@asscherlover:  +1.

I didn’t have a Bridal Party but if I did, I would follow this plan. I would probably also consider who knows each other.

we are having it so the groomsmen will be at the front already, and then the girls will walk down by themselves.

Ill probably do it by height. Not sure yet who Fiance is picking but I have a pretty short friend about 5’4″ and then my sister who is nearly as tall as me at 6′. The top 4 guys my Fiance wants range in height so I’d like them to at least be similarly paired.

I should’ve done it by height, but my Maid/Matron of Honor was freaking taller than everyone else, including myself! Freaking monster. 😛

Haha, just kidding love her. 🙂  But yes, it doesn’t really matter per se, but height is a good way to do it!

LOL I did this. I put my younger sister with the only groomsmen that came without a date. They danced together at the wedding and hung out at the after party. They went on a date last week and have made plans to go out agian. 🙂

We pretty much went by the order they were asked… It worked out perfectly because we had such a small bridal party..

We had a small bridal party, 3 BMs and 4 GMs, so they all walked in solo. Solved any weirdness problems, as a lot of them had SOs not in the bridal party.

Well mine was quite easy seeing how I only have 2 girls, and he has two guys. And the Maid/Matron of Honor & Bridesmaid or Best Man walk down together!
