@hollyberry4:  omg before I opened up this thread I thought to myself “I wonder if she’s talking about the name Elsie” haha.

It does remind me of a cow. Sorry!

The only name that reminds me of a cow is “Betsy”, probably because of movies and shows.  I grew up on a farm and in a farming community where cows were our next meal, so we didn’t have names for them…

I know a couple Elsie’s, so it’s more of an “old” name to me.  I think it’s beautiful, though.

when I read the title I was thinking the name would be maybel or mable or something along those lines….  I don’t get an overwhelming cow sense with this one 🙂

Yes, kind of, but I’ve always liked the name Elsa–what about that with Elsie as a nn?

The name Anabel always reminded me of a cow. It doesn’t help that also the only Anabel I know is an incredibly rude, horrible person who is also morbidly obese.

I think if you had asked. “does the name Elsie make you think of anything?” I would say no, but since you mentioned cow I can’t seperate the two…sorry 🙁

I love the name Elise Rose. Even if it sounds a tad country, it’s a beautiful name. I love two named babies, like Sarah Paige or Betty Ann etc, they are classic

@CherryWaves:  hahaha i have a very good friend named betsey – in elementary school she go that a lot, so it kind of became her thing. she got cows/cowprint just about everything.

that being said, when i met my friend, i wasnt like “you have a cow name.” it was an after thought i guess. mostly i liked that her name wasnt jennifer, meg(h)an or jessica like every other girl my age.
