How does your e-ring look with just one of the eternity bands?

issa19:  i have a cushion halo and an eternity band too. i found i needed to go small on the wedding band as it WAS competing with my ering. so i think your idea of adding in a halo would look great! i do love your ring stack 🙂

I like the solitaire on it’s own — it’s a cleaner, crisper look and makes your centre diamond stand out more.

I actually just tried that same look and felt the SAME way! The two bands totally took away from my main diamond and I thought it was my ultimate set, too. It looks gorgeous on your hand, but I do understand how you feel. I agree — what if you just wore one of the eternity bands? I think if you went with the cushion halo, you’d risk losing all those little stones. That’s why I stuck with a solitaire. I can wear it every day and not worry about any stones falling out of the setting.

issa19:  I love my cushion cut diamond, so I’m biased but I think a cushion halo like ScubaSiren  has is lovely! I think it’d look amazeballs. You get the larger face-up with the round and the shape of a cushion – best of both worlds. That was the main struggle I had when deciding between round and cushion – rounds face up much bigger; my stone is just under 2 carats but face-wise it’s about the size of my mom’s 1.4 carat round 🙁 I was sold in the end because I couldn’t stop obsessing over cushions and wanted one slightly elongated.

I went with two very thin delicate bands so they accenutate the stone but honestly I’ve never met a diamond I don’t like, so I think it’d be fine to stick with your current bands and the new halo if you wanted, otherwise I’d go delicate with the band(s) 😉 Here’s my set (you can see the thin bands). my rings after cleaning

issa19:  I love the classic look of a solitaire with an eternity band (biased because that’s what I’m planning on doing), but I see what you mean about the double band taking center stage.  Could you wear one of your eternity bands on your right hand?  I loved halos and had one originally, but ended up wanting a clean, classic solitaire and had it reset.  Halos also (in my experience) make the setting heavier and more likely to spin, which I found irritating.
