@bridetobe75:  love that etsy belt. i almost bought it for my Maid/Matron of Honor.

your dress is simple, classic and clean, and i think that thin belt would be lovely with it. just a little sparkle without taking away from the simplicity of the dress.

@TwoStatesBride:  +1 to this. I think the dress is very beautiful on its own, but a belt would give it a little something extra.

@bridetobe75:  I voted no belt because to me, your dress already has a horizontal part to it (don’t know what to call it) that defines your waistline. Adding a belt to that section would seem odd to me :/

Plus, your dress is timeless, a classic; And I find that adding a belt might lessen that…

    Just my opinion 😉

I was all set to say no belt, but the one you posted is beautifully dainty and I think it will look fantastic with that dress!:)

I like it better without the sash but Can i suggest looking at a fabric store or online for that trim if you do choose to buy it? I bought one almost identical to it from an upscale fabric store, and i think gloryshouse.com has that exact trim, probably for a fraction of the cost as the etsy one.

The belt is nice, but I agree with PP that there is already horizontal delineation. How about a beautiful brooch done off center on the waist?

@drlolaz:  +1 to brooch or maybe a crystal/rhinestone applique? I think the sparkly belt might overwhelm the simplicity of your gown….

@bridetobe75:  I’m all for a little bling, but that’s me, not you. If you think it needs a belt then go for it. But if you love it as is, then go with it. Your dress, your day. Who cares what other people like?

Gorgeous dress.  It’s simple, clean and classic without it, but I voted YES for a belt because I loooove shine and sparkle.  It’s a thin, simple enough belt to give it a little extra something without losing any of the classic beauty of the gown.  Congrats! 🙂
