So my dress just came in and I went to try it on… YAYYYYY!!!!! I felt super awesome in it, although it did feel tight. I was a little bit surprised to hear the woman say that I needed it taken in around the thigh area even though it already felt quite tight. She also said they would hem it, sew in cups, adjust the straps a little bit and take it in around the bust because I’m so small chested.
Thoughts?? Did anyone else get their dress taken in even though it already felt tight??
Here are some pics, sorry if they’re huge (and sideways????!) I have no idea how to make them smaller.

It’s BEAUTIFUL and you look gorgeous in it! It does need all of those alterations listed though – just a little tweak here and there.

Yeah I see where she was talking about in your upper hip, where your hand is. Its very minor but it will make a huge differance!!! Take it from this pageant gal the smallest change will make your dress look ten times better than you think is looks like now! And depending on when your wedding is you will prob drop some more inches.

It’s gorgeous, but I’d do what the professional is suggesting. I’m no seamstress.

I have to agree with your seamstress. I do think your dress needs all the alterations she menitoned. It was the same with the alterations done on my dress. I thought it just needed to be hemmed but then she wanted to do a few other things that I didn’t think I needed. Looking back she was right. You can trust her she knows what she’s talking about. I don’t think the dress need to be taken in on the lower thighs but on the upper thighs (almost where your legs meets your torso) is where the dress is loose.

I don’t know that those alterations are 100% necessary, but they will definitely be the finishing touches to make your dress perfection. I agree with all the alterations they suggested, including the hips – it’ll make the curves of your shape a little more smooth and hourglass-y (let’s say that’s a word).
It’s a beautiful dress to begin with and you look stunning in it, but I think after these little tweaks it’s going to be incredible!

I agree with PPs you probably don’t NEED them but adjusting that small area on the top of the hip (which I never would have noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it) will make it look made for you. The straps look a teeny bit long.
It is absulutely stunning on you and if you change nothing it will look amazing.
