It took me a while to fall in love with my ring, to be honest. I know that sounds awful, but being around other people and seeing photos on this sight gave me some serious ring envy. I suppose there will always be bigger stones with more intricate settings. After fooling around with a 2.1ct cz set for a while, I have come back to this ring and embraced it for what it is: a beautiful symbol of our love.
I just wanted your opinions, though. I have a 3.75 size finger. My ring is .25ct princess. I have no idea about the other “C’s”, though. I’ve always loved yellow gold because I think it warms up my skin. Anywho, do you think it fits my hand well, or do you think it’s TOO small? I think this ring looks lovely on other people, but I need opinions! Many people have round cut and I think that catches the light and tends to look bigger, especially with a 6 prong.
Anywho, here it is.

Sorry for the poor cell phone pic.

It’s beautiful! Perfect for your hand! I’ve always been a fan of smaller diamonds.

Your ring is beautiful and looks beautiful on your hand!

Small stones are lovely, and the setting really lets it shine. Could you rock a bigger stone? Absolutely, but the one you have is beautiful. I don’t think there is really any “perfect” size for any hand, many different sized stones can look equally amazing on your finger. If you’re happy, don’t worry about it. 🙂

It’s perfect! All the ladies at my work have giant rocks — hell, the cashier at Target has a bigger diamond than mine! We could afford to trade up now, but I can’t bring myself to. I love my ring. I’m sure you’ll love yours for a long time too. It looks beautiful on your tiny pretty hand.

Your ring is beautiful. It’s simple and classic. Keep embracing the meaning of the ring. Not just because you don’t love the size, but because at the end of the day it’s the most important thing about it.

Absolutely perfect. That’s the golden proportion in my opinion!

Yes, it looks beautiful and classic.

It’s beautiful! I love that you can see the gorgeous gold.
It took awhile for me to totally love my ring too, if that makes you feel better (and it is 1.1 carat). I think it is just adjusting from a picture we might have had in our heads to what our FIs actually picked out for us. We’re so used to picking things out ourselves that it can take awhile to fall in love with a gift.

It’s a lovely, warm ring. They’ll always be bigger stones – but the meaning behind it is the most important thing! It looks just right on your finger.

Psh – I thought this would be a thread from someone with big hands. You have tiny fingers!! Your diamond looks gorgeous, silly. It’s just right.
And don’t forget you can always bling it up with your wedding ring. And if that’s still not enough, maybe 10 or 20 years down the road you can bling it up somemore with an anniversary band.
You have a gorgeous ring that will never go out of style and will complement any band you want to go with it. Yay!!
