peach11 :  Yes we found it on AirBnB. There are tons of similar places there! So many people use their old family homes as holiday homes on the island now.

peach11 :  they are a two hour flight from Miami so it should not take you 23 hours even without a direct flight.

If you are looking for a tropical island, my husband and I just went to Greece in September for our honeymoon (we delayed it to September from March, because that is just when we prefer to travel) and the island of Crete had beaches that were just as (actually more) beautiful than any Carribean island. We spent a whole week just beach hopping on the West coast and it was absolutely amazing! The weather was so beautiful there as well. Plus there are 100’s of other islands that you could look at! We are from the US, but we loved Greece! We definitely still got that beach vibe!

peach11 :  I think it depends on what you’re doing.

I’ve gone to resorts with my mom during hurricane season, and because the main attraction is the beach and pool it really put a damper on the application.

We were in Hawaii during rainy season for our wedding moon, but we noticed less because we were doing lots of other things other than just the beach.

I find Lonely Planet to be really helpful with they’re “when to go” sections, they exist for a reason 🙂 Good luck!

Jamaica is safe, Bahamas – too, Costa Rica can be risky…same for Asia

peach11 :  We got married on September 28th last year and went to Italy for our honeymoon for the first 2 weeks of October. Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast were gorgeous at that time of year – sunny and 70-80 degrees F (21-26 C). We stayed at some lovely Airbnbs.

peach11 :  Hey , as a local who lives in St.Lucia, the rainy season doesnt mean that it rains all the time for us. Uusllay when it rains on island, it only does so for a couple of hours max. You sometimes get hours of sunshine, rain then sunshine again.

The hurricane season does start from july and ends in november…. we havent had anything major in a while since were a bit lower down the caribbean chain.

If you’re worried about it though or would be bummed out if you get a day or two of some rain the maybe another place would be best. Hope this help!
