(Closed) Does rose gold have to be re-dipped?

I think it depends. There is rose gold plated which yes, will fade. Then theres solid RG. Go for solid and it will be fine!

No. Rose gold is that color because they mix in copper with the gold.

I’ve actually been told by our jeweller that rose gold becomes more beautiful over time as the rose colour becomes stronger – not sure how to word that exactly – haha

smad11:  I think that’s a fair assessment.  I’ve seen rose gold rings that are close to 75 years old and they look so beautiful!

That is one thing I love about rose gold: the colour is its true colour and is not a plated metal on top (for solid rose gold). No maintenance regarding any re-dipping!
