@paulbeltran:  I would not hire a boudoir photographer period, so I said No Way, but not because it would be a man.

I totally would. I realy want to do a pin up type budoir photo shoot and I think having a male photographer would make for interesting shots. Female photographers, I feel, are more likely to get the prettier softer more whimsical shot. Where as , again my opinion, the male knows what men like and are more likely to get sexier shots. Im not talking porn or anything but I want some shots where I look beyond sexy.

I personally wouldn’t have a problem with it, but I voted “no way” simply because I know my Fiance would be upset if he knew I had those types of pictures taken by a male.

    I don’t think he’d mind a female photographer though.

I actually really want to do this, but I don’t have the extra money to spend right now, so I’m looking into DIYing some for Fiance.

I do some modelling for fun (I don’t get paid). Most of my shoots are underwear (or less) and all my photographers have been male. They are all very prifessional and a good photographer will make you feel relaxed. You would obviously need to check references but most male photographers will be just as safe as female ones and eill not do anything inappropriate.

Nope… unless it was some famous male photographer that the stars use lol. And that would not happen!!

I voted maybe because it would depend on the type of shoot.  I did a boudoir shoot with a female photographer wearing lingerie, but I would probably not have felt as comfortable with a male.  That being said, I think sexual orientation is probably more important to me.  Either way I’m happy with the photographer I chose and if I ever do another boudoir shoot, I’ll be using her.

Wouldn’t bother me. It’s about the person work and how you feel with them. As long as he’s professional its no biggie to me.

Wouldnt bother me, I’m not shy, and my fiance wouldn’t mind. But I had a female photographer do my boudoir photos just in case being topless or in lingerie DID make me nervous. Turns out I had a blast, though.

This is all entirely hypothetical because I cannot imagine anyone would want to see my elderly but bony acreage arranged “boudoir style” but the gender of the photographer would not matter. I’d far rather hire a top rate male photographer than I would someone less talented but female.

My own photographer (a fellow pro) is known for his superb glamour and burlesque work. He’s an entirely “safe”. happily married man who really knows what he is doing. Not that I was tempted!

I wouldn’t, just because I assume a woman would better understand a woman’s body and how to hide the parts I don’t like/am insecure about.

I think my fiance would be disappointed if a guy was taking sexy photos of me. Sure, he trusts me, but there’s plenty of females who could do it.

I wouldn’t really mind either way, but I wouldn’t be surprised if my Fiance was somewhat uncomfortable with it, even though he is the least jealous person ever. So I’d just go with a female to play it safe.

If they’re professional photographers and spend their life photographing boudoir photos… they’re not going to get turned on by you. And they’re more likely to get sexier shots because they know what to look for.

I’d want a woman in the room, whether it be an assistant or whatever, but I wouldn’t be uncomfortable with a male photographer.
