It depends. I just had my period for the first time in almost a year last week (I LOVE having an IUD) and SO was leaving on Sunday to go hunting so we did. If it is heavy we don’t because that’s really gross.

@Hyperventilate:  At the beginning no… I’m feeling yucky. Towards the end we sometimes do since there’s barely anything there… if anything at all. It’s not like it’s a constant stream of blood lol Too Much Information.

This is silly but my Fiance thinks its freaky to see blood on his manhood so we do it in the shower only during period days.

We do.  I’m on the pill so my periods are pretty light…I’ve never really had the need to lay down towels.  Just a little extra cleanup.  I don’t have much as far as cramps either.

We tried having sex once when I was on my period and it was gross and just not fun/romantic/sexy at all.

Fiance can’t stand the sight of blood so that was the end of things when we “switched positions.”

Can’t say that I blame him, though. I feel gross, bloated, and miserable on my period so I don’t want to have sex anyway.

Usually I just take care of him with my hands when it’s that week. lol

My period only lasts for 4 days..so I can tough out those 4 days with no sex..too messy for me!

I get 2 days of crappy period cramps, bloating, nausea, back ache, diarrhea (tmi? yeah probs)…I barely function let alone want to have sexy time! And that’s WITH the pill. Before I got on it it was a week of pain and misery.

We will do it at the tail end of it though when I’m not actively bleeding. If we do it and there’s residual blood left, Fiance jokes that I’m “still a little pink in the middle”. I never know whether to laugh or act horrified. I usually just go turn on the shower lol

No, we don’t. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it, I just don’t feel “in the mood” during my periods.

Depends.  When I’m on it, I definitely don’t feel friskier; in fact, I tend to feel gross and fat.  So I’m not usually real inclined. But if I do get in the mood and the flow is light we’ll just put down a towel (I don’t like shower sex- there’s no good angle for us).
