My period just ended. We had sex on a light day… probably first time in a year for us. 😛 We used to just throw a towel down but now we wait until the period is over… usually. We had a really hot date night that night hahaha.

Gosh we had once when we were a bit drunk, he was not letting me sleep.. that was nice but messy and promised myself to never do it again, though when almost your menstruation is over you can do it, but i guess your husband would like to use a condom, i would not be pleased with some blood down there if i would be a man. Some doctors said it’s okay, some of them say totally no, i think it depends on you both. i have big flows everytime so therefor i don’t want to, and i feel kinda shy and not sexy. My husband is not the type of guy who can’t live without sex, he can forget about it for 2 weeks sometimes, just give him the Xbox and Super Mario and he’s gone. I try to let him enjoy his hubbits and don’t ask him for anything when he doesn’t want. He’s an IT guy, you can’t heal him to stay away from the laptop or games. lol

I didn’t do it before my husband on my period because my ex is a muslim and he didn’t really touch me during my periods, but he was way more obsessed with sex than my husband, my husband is just not considering it an important part of our marriage, i could walk naked through the house while he plays videogames and he wouldn’t react. Feel kinda odd that i seem to be the only one who doesn’t have a partner who’d jump on me no matter what, i am this kind of lady hahah.

I have endo, which makes sex EXTREMELY painful for me in the days leading up to my period, as well as during my period; so, no.
The blood wouldn’t bother me apart from on a natural period where it’s extremely heavy (I have to change a super tampon and night-time towel combined every 50 minutes) and I pass large, black clots (nice! not)
Thankfully I’m on the mini-pill though so haven’t had a period now since March 2010 😀

We do – every since I went on the pill, my period has been really light and doesn’t last super long. We tend to avoid the heaviest day, but really it’s just sort of business as ususal for us.

@barbie86: I’m so sorry about endometriosis, i had laparoscopy 6 days ago to check if there is cause i also have pains, i don’t have it. Did you consider removing it? or it just goes with stopping the period? i know there is such a way too.

@aliona.deszynska: I’ve had two laps so far which removed it; unfortunately, mine grows back quite quickly, and some of the areas I believe are just too tiny to be seen and treated under current technology (unfortunately, the amount of endo doesn’t correspond with the amount of pain, so you can have microscopic patches but severe pain, which is annoying1) because I didn’t get much relief from the painful sex after both laps.
Sex for me is painful all the time in certain positions (basically limited to missionary these days, or me at a very specific angle on top; if I move literally an inch the wrong ay the pain goes shooting through me), but during or around my period it can be so intense that I black out.
So yeah, sex has never been an option during my period lol

@Hyperventilate: No and it has nothing to do with the mess. It is the bloat, gas, water retention and constipation, feeling really fat that goes along with it. I just don’t feel sexy.

@barbie86: I understand that. I have a type of endo too which grows after every cicle but is gone when i bleed. But my pain during sex was related to the Douglas space which has always some liquid, normally it should go by itself, mine doesn’t. They took out about 40 ml of liquid, i’m not sure if it’s much but as you said sometimes there is so small amount but still pains. I hope you’ll get better though, may be there will be invented a way of taking it out. By the way i see you have experience with laparo,i’m the 6th day after the laparo and my stomach digest really hard everything, i feel like a balloon and it kinda burns me if i eat sweet or just drink strong tea. Does this feeling goes at all?

@nambi_pambi: I really like them! I got small ones at Walmart that I think are meant to be for art, but as long as their natural sea sponger I think they’re safe. I soak them in vinegar between uses (after rinsing them out of course) so that they don’t get smelly or gross. Because they’re so small if I insert them high enough my husband says he doesn’t feel them at all.

I would I dont care, SO won’t though due to a very traumatic experience when he was with his ex. I have heard small details of this experience and I cant really blame him for not wanting sexy times during that time of the month.
