Um, I’m feeling a little inadequate about my DIY invites.
I keep seeing all these large invites- 5×7 with 4+ cards and such. I wanted to keep things simple with (3) cards: formal invite, map insert and a dual menu/website info insert. (I am making a slip pocket to hold everything together)
However, each card is 5.5 x 4 inches. It feels kind of small, but only when I see the other larger invites. I’m in need of reassurance please.

That’s the size of mine, so I think it’s perfect. 🙂

As long as everything is readable and not cramped, I actually prefer a smaller card! 5×7 can sometimes look less … intimate (for lack of a better term).

Invitations come in all different forms, shapes, and sizes. You should do what you think represents you the best. I did my invites on http://www.monogramwedding.com and they have options to choose whatever element you want to include w/ your invite. Only problem is that they do not offer a pocket fold design. Anyways, do what YOU like becasue it is you and your FI’s special day.
