So I’ve been trying on wedding dresses for the past 3 days. I’m totally over it and stressed since apparently I should have ordered one by now (wedding is in Oct.).
I’ve deteremined I like the following:
-Some kind of bead work
-A sweatheart strapless or spaghetti strap V neck
I’ve googled various descriptions of the above and haven’t found anything. If it doesn’t exist I either have to go with gold A-line in taffeta (for a beach wedding) or a chiffon empire waist. I’m not sure which to choose and I’m pretty sure the above description would be perfect. Thoughts/Suggestions?

Have you looked at Maggie Sottero, Jasmine, and Demetrio’s? I feel like they do lots of dresses that would fit that.

I swear I’ve seen a zillion maggie sottero’s that would fit the bill. Most Maggie’s come in any of her fabrics, and I’m pretty sure she has a light gold.

Try organza dresses too. Same feel as chiffon. Also, remember that zip/button backs can be altered into corsets very easily.

I would go with the others and definitely suggest a Maggie. She is infamous for the corset back, the A-line, and even in that color I am almost positive.

How about Maggie Sottero’s Anastasia? Link.
I drooled over it forever, it’s stunning. Here’s the description:
One-piece, corset, strapless, slim A-line gown with sweetheart neckline. The neckline is accented with ruched organza. Corded lace adorns the gown scattered with seed beads, sequins, and Swarovski crystals. The hemline is created from three tiers of organza falling delicately into a sweep train. Chiffon stole is also available.

A lot of casablanca dresses have a ‘champagne’ option and a lot of them are a-line. Not exactly chiffon but they have netting or organza overlays.

I just purchased a dress that fits this description today. It is from Sottero & Midgley. Style number SSM5236G. I got it in ivory lace over gold, with pewter accents. So gorgeous. A-line, and a corset back. I will try to add some pictures for reference.
If it works out there will also be a picture next to an envelope that I took to show how not-white it was.

Wow, those are some lovely suggestions!
If you’re still doing google searches, try the following:
– just search for gold chiffon a-line. Beading comes with lots of dresses but often it isn’t included in the item description (or they might describe it with a different word). And sweetheart strapless dresses are so incredibly common at the moment that there’s no point adding it as a search term – most of the dresses you see will have that neckline. Straight across strapless is also fairly common still; those can usually be altered to sweetheart too.
– try bing.com as well as google image search; bing is often easier to look through as it returns all the results on the one page.
– try a website like brides.com where you can search through dress galleries using advanced search criteria. Then you’ll be able to select the shape, fabric, neckline and sometimes even the colour.

Maggie Sottero and Sottero and Midgely both have many dresses in chiffon and in light gold but it doesn’t look like there is many that fit both criteria!
Take a look at the website and you can search for your criteria.
