- Wedding: April 2013
Kind of an odd thought, and obviously selection bias means people who find it less useful may not be around to answer, but I figured I’d throw it out there.
I totally wish I had done more reading on the wedding section of the Bee BEFORE I was engaged! I avoided it back then because I didn’t want to get obsessed. The closer the wedding gets, the more I feel like I have to be careful to avoid certain topics because it can lead to decision regret. Already picked a buffet? Better stay away from debates about plated vs buffet if you don’t want to second guess! Printed your invites? Be careful looking at everyone else’s beautiful choices or you may want to change yours.
It sounds like I’m just not confident in my choices, and that’s not the case at all. It’s just that there are SO many that it is really easy to question them once you make a decision.
At less than five months out, most of my decisions are made. Sure, it is still a great place to vent and get last minute tips, but I feel like I have to be careful not to find something to pine over when I already made a choice and changing would be difficult/costly. I’m sure since our engagement is only 8 months that we made choices pretty quickly compared to some others, too.
Anyone else feel like they have to be cautious on the Bee not to second guess your choices because there is an endless flow of ideas?
